Precision Spring Coilers
Since 1937.
The Torrington Manufacturing Company
introduced the first production spring coiler in
1937. In 1986, BHS Inc. purchased the coiler
product line and the company later became
known as BHS–Torin. In 2003, BHS–Torin
was purchased by FENN. The Torin spring
coiler has evolved from a mechanical coiler to
the sophisticated computer motion controlled
machine offered today. FENN continues to
supply the same high quality Torin spring
coilers with an enduring focus on customer
applications and technological innovation.
The Torin FZ Series features a redesigned
operator interface with a modern graphical
design and intuitive touch screen. This interface
is designed to simplify operation and shorten
machine setup time. Featured at left is the
CAMS and JOG tabs, showing the spring recipe
table, and multi speed jog touch controls.
Multi Language Ready
The Torin FZ Series can support multiple
languages on a single machine. Languages can
easily be switched from one to another using
the machine controls. English, Spanish, Chinese,
German, Brazilian Portuguese are offered with
others available upon request.
The Run tab features capabilities for “on the
fly” adjustments and production information.
The BASIC SETTINGS tab allows customizable
operator configuration. Feedroll Force, Axis
Positions and run/set-up action functions are
always viewable.

THE VERSATILE SPRING cOILER IS HERE
Adaptability is key in today’s competitive market. Each
Torin FZ Series Spring Coiler is developed for fast set up
and changeover of springs using the powerful 19 inch
touch screen interface. A single coiler can produce a
variety of springs including compression, cross over ends,
extension, and torsion springs, meeting a wide variety of
production requirements. One machine does it all.
