The theme for this week’s topic is Science and the focus is on animals! By the end of the week, we are aiming for children to be able to identify and name a variety of common animals that are carnivores, herbivores and omnivores and to be able to de-scribe and compare the structure of a variety of common animals (fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals, including pets). The information attached/links suggested/internet/YouTube/non-fiction books will all help children to learn about how animals are grouped according to what they eat and how they are grouped according to their characteristics. The children will learn loads of facts during the week - you may like to encourage them to share these with family and friends over the phone/video calls/pictures or by sending them the non-fiction book/poster at the end of the week.
