The position of workers is very important, they are people who
directly make benefit for company. Workers have the right to get
interests as anybody in company.Body
A. Not only Vietnamese bosses but also foreign bosses have to
act under Vietnamese law.The problem is that you often do illegal
things.
- According to chapter V of Vietnamese labour law, foreign
bosses in Vietnam have to ensure the basic interest of workers
(limit working time 8 hours a day, breaking time, work safety,
basic salary and extra money, human dignity).- You use workers as
they are untired machine (to work past the fixed hours) without
paying more.
- The condition of working is not safe. Many machines are out of
date periodical register.
- You dont sign contract of employment
B. Can money buy self-respect and human dignity?
You are an unbelievable boss. The problem is that its not the
first time you dont keep your promise with workers. You give a lot
of beautiful promise : In the beginning of 2006, you promised of
paying a rise (increase 5.6% basic salary) ( not finished. You
promise that you will let the workers have more days off
(vacations, national days) ( not finished.Your behaviour is not
good.:
- The way you talk to workers is not impolite (call them stupid,
foolish, cow)
- The workers dont know much about the law, and you trick on
your workers (dont remind their other interests except for salary
when you hire them).C. The power of workers is very strong.
- In Vienam, only in 2005, there are more than 50 strikes with
over 60000 workers. The companies suffered losses a lot of money
(near 1 billion dong).
- Nowadays, Vietnam join in WTO, there are more and more
companies which have been held, a lot of investors give their money
to trade in Vietnam. Vietnamese workers have many choices to choose
a better condition of working, not only in your company.- Workers
are protected by Vietnamese labour law and international labour
law.Conclusion
When you want to trade in Vietnam, Im sure that you learn
carefully Vietnamese law, so dont tell me you dont know what your
duty is with workers. You should prove that you are a reliable boss
or your company will get big strike and I want to see how you can
