On August 1910 in Idaho and Montana 3 million acres of land was burnt and it was recorded that it was 150 feet above ground level. The fire took 87 lives.

9- Great Ice Storm ‘98

IN 1998 a cyclonic system ice storm hit Canada and lasted for 6 days, and caused 5-7 billion dollars. It also took 35 lives and injured 945 people. 120mm of freezing rain fell

8- Dust bowlON April 14 1935 weather for Oklahoma was in its early 30’s but later that night the tempreture dropped by 10 degrees and it caused the great sandstorm. Dust was picked up at 70 kilometres an hour and dumped in Oklahoma

7- Bayburt Uzengili Avalanche

On the 18 of January 1993 the Bayburt province had an avalanche that flowed for 4,150 metres at 17 degrees, 59 people died 21 injured and 650 livestock was lost

6- 2003 European heat wave

In 2003 a heat wave hit Europe killing 70,000 people. In the day the temperatures would reach up to 48 degrees and at night the low 30s. These temperatures caused major bushfires.

5- 1970 Huascarán avalanche; triggered by the 1970 Ancash earthquake

In 1970 the Huascarán avalanche struck Peru and killed 20,000 people. It was estimated that the rubble was 80 million cubic feet of ice, mud and rock was about half a mile wide and a mile long

4- 1970 Bhola Cyclone

ON November 13 1970 the deadliest tropical cyclone hit Bangladesh killing 300,000 to 500,000 people and causing 86.4 million dollars worth of damage

On Wednesday, March 18, 1925 a tornado hit the Tri- State area of America, 1000 were killed and 3000were injured. It hit the 3 states at an amazing 234 miles per hour., It was first sighted at 1:01 pm and some sheets of iron were recorded to have been carried 80 kilometres.
