SUPPORT THE PROGRAMMESUPPORT THE PROGRAMME
With public and private stakeholders seeking to create financially sustainable and socially engaging places, what is the key to successful placemaking? What lessons can we take from London’s Great Estates in the long-term management and design of places across the capital, and how they can be adapted over generations as needs change? How can greater collaborative working between local authorities, BIDs and businesses improve traffic management, delivery consolidation and future digital infrastructure, to create better streets and public spaces?
A year-round programme explores the creation of successful places for the capital, including the role of culture and heritage, water-side regeneration, community engagement and inclusive design to create places which work for all Londoners. NLA’s Placemaking & Public Realm programme explores the role of professionals, policy-makers and users in creating high-quality places and active public spaces.
There are opportunities to either Champion or Support of this programme. To find out more about how you could get involved in the events and output across our platforms please get in touch with the Membership Team via on 0207 636 4044.
