It goes without saying that copper is one of the mostimportant metals in the manufacturing and otherindustries. There are lots of astonishing features ofcopper that make it the most versatile metal on earth. Itis ductile in nature and it is resistant to heat andtemperature. This makes it the ideal element for usage incritical industries. Copper wire is one of the mostimportant products that is made of this metal. The wiresare manufactured in different ways and they result indifferent kinds that can be used in diverse fields. Whenthe wire is annealed, it is wrapped on reels and can beused for bunching.

Among the various types of wires made of copper, the bunched copper wire is highly popular. After all, it can be used in wide varieties of applications and serves several purposes, as a whole.

1. Flexibility and reliability-

One of the major reasons for which the bunched wires are used is because of the flexibility. These are available in various sizes and forms. Consequently, they can be used in electrical and mechanical industries. It rates high when it comes to wiring in circuit boards or other connections that require tight bends or moving joints. These are also reliable in the sense that they are easy to use and serve a great purpose for a long time to come.

2. Serves the purpose of a connector-

These wires are often used as a rope or aconnector. It can be easily tied into knots mainlybecause of the fact that it is free from kinks. Moreover, the flexibility and strength of the wirehelps it to work as a connector letting theelectricity pass from one surface to anothersmoothly and easily. Apart from the electricalindustry, these wires are used in large numbers ofother industries like manufacturing, aeronautic, automobile and others.

3. Highly economical-

The bunched wires are highly economical innature, and this is again because of theflexibility. The solid wires have mechanicalruggedness which can be easily overcome in thebunched forms. These copper wires haverelatively less surface area exposed to thecorrosives of the environment. It can be usedwith ease in applications that require repeatedbending.

4.Tinned coating is possible-The bunched wires offer the opportunity to coatthem with tin. The coating adds to the strength anddurability of the wires so that these can be used inseveral applications. In tinned wires, each strand ofwire is coated with tin either through hot dipping orelectroplating. It has higher resistance in comparisonto the solid wires of the same diameter. This ismainly because of the cross-section of the strands inbunches with unavoidable gaps in between.

5.Does not produce stress-The rigidity in the solid wire can often result in stress and thereby result in movement while assembling. However, this is not the case with bunched forms because of its flexibility. It does not cause any stress for which it is used in AC line cords, computer mouse cables, musical instrument cables etc.
