In today’s life almost everybody uses memory card for storing data. Memory card has many advantages such as it used in many devices, it is portable and carrying data becomes very easy. Hence, it becomes very important to take a good care of your memory card. So, here are some tips to keep your memory card healthy.

1. Format new memory cards for the first time

You must format your new purchased memory cards because though many cards are sold as “ready to use” and pre-formatted”, but it is still important to reformat the card once again as and when you get it. It is safe.

2. Never let your cards fill up completely

Whether you are using a Smartphone or cameras never let you memory card fill up completely. Most of the camera has LCD indicator that tells you that how many images you can shoot. It is

because if you go on filling up your card by clicking images even when your card is full the camera will try to write some part of the photo to card and hence you may get error.

3. Do not allow your batteries to drain completely

Make sure you mobile or digital camera’s batteries do not die completely. It is because if your camera’s battery dies at the moment when your camera or Smartphone tries to write a photo to the card. If it happens then it will write only half of the photo to the card and may result in card corruption.

4. Keep your camera updated

In regular basis camera manufactures send the updated to your camera. Hence, it is recommended that you must update it because this may affect your card.

5. Never switch off your camera so fast

When you click images from your camera and immediately you switch off it when your camera still writing photos to card then your photos will not be get written properly and your car may get corrupt.
