Toothless Gators (Golden Oldies) President’s Report 2015 PALM BEACH CURRUMBIN RUGBY UNION CLUB Another reasonably quiet year for the Toothless Gators, with not as many games played as were originally booked. Flounder (Pat O’Leary) once again did a great job with organizing games but was let down by circumstances at times. A big welcome to new members who have played during the year. The games played this year were fantastic and we have our Ref, "Rick the Pom" Gabain to thank for the way he controls the game and the players. We changed the raffle format for Friday nights to a more simple arrangement, however all GO's need to thank Cookie for running them, for without him they would not have got off the ground. We have been well served by "Gimme Moore", tending to our finances, "Fang It", Adrian with communications, our very own "Pieman" Nathan from Currumbin Fair Bakery, "Numbers and Ferrari" from the main commitee. Also thanks to all who have assisted during the year. It is great to see the main committee made up of so many GO's.It certainly shows the commitment to the club from this area. Our major event this year was of course the 25th Anniversary of the team, a brainchild of founding member and lifetime Patron "Dr" Bob Prescott. This event took place near the end of the rugby season, and turned out to be a resounding success. The Dr was ably assisted by Neil "Ferrari" Taylor with input from Paul "Toulsey" Toulson and myself. The Club did a roaring trade that day and night, (was reported to be record takings) with a good turnout of past players getting into the spirit of it, so to speak. Just goes to show the value of supplying a shot of port prior to play and conducting boat races after each match. Finally a big shout out to the Club President and his wonderful band of committee men for the amazing progress made to the Club this year, and to Al and Marg for their full and ongoing organization and drive to make the day to day workings of the clubrooms as best they can possibly be. Next on our menu is the annual "Magical mystery Bus Tour." Only 2 people ever know where we are going and often some never remember where we went. Until next time that is a wrap and just a reminder we train all year! Noel "Colsey" Collier, Pres.

PALM BEACH CURRUMBIN RUGBY UNION CLUB

Another reasonably quiet year for the Toothless Gators, with not as many games played as were originally booked. Flounder (Pat O’Leary) once again did a great job with organizing games but was let down by circumstances at times.

A big welcome to new members who have played during the year.
