ANNUAL TOORA CROSS COUNTRY
TOMORROW at Sagasser Park 2:10pm
Thank you to the parents who have volunteered to man a number of
points around the course tomorrow.
Could all volunteers meet us at School at 1:45pm tomorrow for a briefing.
All students will leave school to walk down to Sagasser Park at 1:55pm.
Students are to attend school in school uniform, however we suggest
each student bring a change of ‘old’ clothes and ‘old’ runners to change
into at lunchtime for the Cross Country run as the course will be wet and probably muddy. In the event of heavy rain, a decision will be
made by the School at 12:00pm to cancel or not. GUESS THE NUMBER OF EGGS COMPETITION At Monday’s special assembly we counted the eggs in the jar and discovered we had two winners: Ebony Nicholls and Jaxon Lewis, who both guessed 109 eggs. 54 eggs were given to each winner with the remainder going to our new boy, Marley, as a special welcome. The Student fundraising event raised $12.90 Well Done!! SOUP AND HOT ROLLS FOR RECESS Thank you to Mrs Jade Rhodes for her generous donation of delicious soup today. A choice of Pumpkin and Chicken Noodle soup were available to all students at recess, with many students going back for ‘seconds’
Elli Clavarino - for always trying her absolute best in everything she does. Monique Koolen - for putting in her best effort in all areas. Active After School Communities Program
Term 2 activities continue on Monday 23rd &
Thursday 26th May.
The Active After-school Communities (AASC)
program is an Australian Government initiative that
provides primary school children with free sport and
other structured physical activity programs after
school (3.45pm to 4.45pm).
A healthy snack will be provided before the activity
(3.30pm-3.45pm).
The ‘playing for life’ philosophy ensures children have
a positive and successful experience through the use
of games that are continuously modified to challenge
and engage children of all abilities and backgrounds.

The Footy Clinic Mark, Luke, Rob, Sharni, Lachlan and Demi held a footy Clinic on the grass in the school grounds. The whole school went and had lots of fun. They ran the clinic for free and were very nice. The whole school went down to the grass area and did warm-ups. Some of the warm-up activities were star jumps, running to the fence and back and running over to get a footy. Rob did some easy and hard activities. All of them helped the stu-dents that were finding the activities tricky. We went over to the handballing activity. There were three lines and you had to handball (throw if you couldn’t handball) and try to get the ball through the hole. Everyone tried their best and did very good! Next were the tackling bags. They were fun, you ran up fast then tackled down low. After the Tackling bags we went over to the bumper bags. You had to run up and tuck your elbow close to you, bang into Lachlan or Luke. That hurt some people! The last activity was marking. They held the bags up and you put your knee into the bag and mark the football. Some people jump really high and they were impressive!!! Clinic was really fun, everyone enjoyed it and got lots of tips out of it. By Elli Clavarino Gr.5
