A new Singapore office opened on schedule with full IT services and a 5 year strategic IT roadmap. An SAP S&D solution was built for the Platinum business. A strategic project to establish the company’s future trading platform was delivered and approved and subsequently delivered a $16M CXL trading solution for the Thermal Coal commodity trading team. Accenture Global Applications Service Transition Manager - Accountable for the transition of 200 application services to a new partner on time and to budget ($6 million). Wrote and evaluated the service requirements as part of the tender and contract negotiations. All application availability and Priority 1 and 2 Incident SLA’s achieved on target. Was also the de-facto contract manager pending a permanent appointment and set up the contract governance. Governed the awarding of $9 million of new project business to partner.

Office of CIO - Performance Assurance Manager - Accountable for a range of IM capability improvements that included: ITIL Maturity Assessments (together with Pink Elephant) , IM Global performance scorecard reporting, Global IM Conferences, IM Technical Competency Definition (SFIA subset) and deployment. Also accountable for specifying, selecting and negotiating an application services outsourcing contract with Accenture ($75M contract)

HP/BT Global Infrastructure Transformation Programme Manager - Joined when the programme had already started and was experiencing major challenges and saw it through to completion. Exceptionally challenging contract and stakeholder environment was successfully handled

Accountable for a project spend of $39M on transforming the Anglo American IT infrastructure into a single global Wide Area Network, 4 regional Data Centres, a standard Work Place Computing environment and a global Service Desk operation.

This resulted in an IT infrastructure that is now 90% standard. In the computer server estate, over 600 legacy servers were decommissioned, a further 784 servers were transformed and 75% were transitioned to the new Data Centres. Transformed 20,000 PCs and migrated 30,000 e-mail accounts to a single standard AA system. Total of 401 wide area network circuits commissioned.

2006 – 2008 PearceMayfield Programme Management Trainers & ConsultingSuccessfully completed a role as a consultant trainer and built upon my practical experience with sound structural programme management knowledge.

Consultant Trainer - Achieved accreditation as a PRINCE2 and MSP certified OGC trainer and delivered practitioner level training. Developed a business case training course for a major government security agency and successfully executed business case consulting for a NHS trust hospital.

2002 - 2006 Centrica Plc - Energy Successfully completed a board role in a major programme office and contributed to the programme lifecycle from inception to start of delivery.

Programme Office Manager – For a SAP application programme from contracting through to requirements gathering, blueprinting and realisation phase. Included tender process management, product and service supplier negotiations, project planning and IT mobilisation.

1980 –2002 Procter and Gamble - Consumer goodsSuccessfully completed a broad range of roles of increasing responsibility that included operation IM responsibility for production and manufacturing offices as well as the European Head Quarters. Included 9 years living in Asia Pacific.
