Tony Nero’s Art The really random neswletter all about my art. www. tonynerobrushworks.com April 2011 ISSUE 01 Welcome to the first edition of Tony Nero’s Art, newsletter. This is really all about some of the arty things that I am doing and some of the things that I may be doing. I decided on starting up this news- letter, because I seem to be doing so many things at the moment. And although I am hoping for this to be available quartly, its quite possible that it may be really random, depending on my work load. Seeing that am a kind of fun guy this is not going to be all serious about art, I will try and add some fun elements to it. Please feel free to ask any questions or send me your comments about any of my work. I do hope you enjoy flicking through these pages. NEWS In this issue: Pieces of a dream art exhibition

Welcome to the first edition of Tony Nero’s Art, newsletter. This is really all about some of the arty things that I am doing and some of the things that I may be doing.

I decided on starting up this news-letter, because I seem to be doing so many things at the moment. And although I am hoping for this to be available quartly, its quite possible

that it may be really random, depending on my work load.

Seeing that am a kind of fun guy this is not going to be all serious about art, I will try and add some fun elements to it. Please feel free to ask any questions or send me your comments about any of my work. I do hope you enjoy flicking through these pages.

In this issue: Pieces of a dream art exhibition

Pieces of a dreamOn the 9th of March my solo exhibition, ‘pieces of A Dream’ kicked off with a nice little buzz, at the Stamford Arts Centre. Visitors to the exhibition were encouraged to take part in drawing a teddy bear for charity. Quite a number of visitors interacted to the challenge with very little encouragement. This was so successfut that I ended up putting a total of three can-vases on the wall for people to draw on. These painings will later be sold to raise funds for local charity, ASBAH.

The exhibition recieved a great number of positive comments along with a number of press coverage including the BBC Lincolnshire news website and Rutland & Stamford Mercury newspaper.

Tea and art in the city centerHarriet’s Gallery, located in the upstairs to Harriet’s Cafe and Tearooms Cathedral Square, offers a new space for local artists exhibiting some of their most interesting works which includes figurative, still life and abstract pieces. Treat yourself to some tea and cake and take a peek of what Peterborough has to offer. This includes an antique and vintage art section which features a pair of stunning 19th century Chinese woodblock prints. This painting ‘Power of the Dance’, is one of my most recent works and was actually the last piece produced for the exhibition ‘Pieces of a Dream’

I always get asked by the female visitors to my exhibitions ‘where are the naked men’, so this is one for the ladies.

My favourite comment on this piece is from a dear friend and artist who said, ‘where can I find this man?’.
