    JULY 24ST 2015 FRIDAY

Thousands upon thousands strong, yesterday, you amassed at the gates of Melodia. A Gathering was had, a wonderful night diverse in music and in people. From Belgium, from Chile, from New Zealand, from all around the universe ravers arrived and melted together into a novel nation. Today, then, it is time to proceed to the real destination of all those different humans. To you, the lucky People who may enter, Melodia will be a secret no longer. You are invited to step inside, leave your sorrows at the door, renounce all negativity and enjoy the curiosities the Kingdom has

to offer. There are little birds who will sing songs for you. There are new nooks and crannies to explore. There are wild creatures lying in wait, adorned with symphonic surprises. But most of all, there is that hardly describable feeling: the joy of being a part of Tomorrowland. The sun shines, smiles surround you, your chest is light, tingly with excitement. Up, up and away you seem to fly, investing your very soul into this Kingdom of meaningful melodies and peaceful people. You flutter from place to spot, display your dance moves, smile shyly at a handsome person next to you,

In the Kingdom of Melodia, wherever you are, there is always music to be heard. The sweet serenades of Carl Cox and his friends at the Opera stage, for instance. Or the uplifting, melodic hymns that TranceAddict brings to bear. At the Mainstage, you can jump and stomp to your hearts content with W&W, Nicky Romero, Steve Aoki and the others, while Aokis very own Dim Mak stage turns the music up a notch or two elsewhere. THE KINGDOMS HIDDEN CORNERSIn a land as big as Melodia, its easy to lose track of where you want to go. Over the next few days, this newspaper will serve as your guide to Tommorrowland. Not only metaphorically, but also literally: as an introduction, we show you around the little-known spots and secret hideaways you can explore all across the grounds. Today, we introduce you to the Rave Cave and the chillout beach beneath the One World bridge.

What good is a beach without water? Well once youve come across the

one between stages 8 and 10 on the map, youll know. Tucked away beneath one of the far ends of the One World bridge is a magical little place to take off your shoes, feel the sand shift beneath your feet and relax completely. The spot is adorned with magical plants to sit on, a covering with hammocks for taking a quick nap, lights, and even slowly revolving disco balls. Located between the backs of two podia, it sees relatively little traffic and background noise. So if you really need a breath of some of Melodias freshest air, now you know where to go.

To return visitors our second spot might not be much of a surprise, but others might walk right past it: the Rave Cave. Dug out in a hillside off the main road from Mainstage (12) to Mythical Frames stage (4), its designated on your map by the number 6 and in real life by literally underground raving. Its a charming little corner, the ground overhead held up by a brick archway and the crew inside always having fun. For a break from the Mainstage madness, for some smooth moves in a more intimate setting, look no further than this marvelous cavern.

Listen to the enchanting voices around you. Theyll make you wiser

Have you ever stepped into a classroom full of young kids waiting for Santa Claus to bring them their presents? Youll notice the same electrifying ambiance when you board a Tomorrowland party flight. No one is really sure what to expect, but everyone is dying to speed up time and take off. Off to the promised land of partying.

Lets rewind and go a few hours back, when everyone arrived at the gate with sleepy eyes. Even though they are dressed up like a Tomorrowland crowd, this is not yet the crazy crowd thats famous around the world. These guys and girls look just like ordinary people! But it all changes when Romeo Blanco takes control of the DJ booth, urging people to get up out of their seat and dance while he puts on his uptempo music. In the blink of an eye, this gate at Frankfurt airport is transformed into a mini-stage with more than a hundred ravers going crazy!

One of the people that catches everyones eye is Doreen from Switzerland. Shes together with her friend Markus and they are already dancing, laughing and jumping around like theyll never get tired, like this is their only chance to dance this weekend. Doreen explains thats probably so because they are too excited to wait any longer. Tomorrowland is such a special event, Ive been looking forward to it for so long and now were almost there. Were meeting a bunch of our friends in Brussels, and the ten of us are really looking forward to the Q-dance stage, she says, blowing kisses to the camera.

Doreen and Markus arent the only ones meeting friends in Brussels. Youssef is flying to Brussels alone mainly because, according to him, he is the only one at Tomorrowland from Bahrein! Nobody at home believes me when I tell them about this flight and the party at the gate, he says

The easiest way to travel to Tomorrowland is by joining the Global Journey. This worldwide movement brings people from all over the globe together. There were five (sold-out)

packages people could acquire. Here are some mind-blowing facts:

A grand total of 18,934 people bought a package through Global Journey

700 people take part in the Discover Europe trips

Over 4,000 people discover Antwerp & Brussels through the Belgian Journey

Almost 6,500 people are staying in 50 especially selected Tomorrowland hotels

There are 165 flights coming in as well as 31 trains

    FACTS & FIGURES

while he shakes his head in disbelief. His head is exactly whats drawing attention to him, too, because hes wearing a large Indian headdress. At Tomorrowland you have to bring at least two things, a costume and a flag of your country, so thats what I did. Im representing Bahrein this weekend!

When the flight is in the air, everyone closes their window shield and unpacks their goody bag. Steady in the air, its time for Romeo Blanco once again! The young Belgian DJ really likes this gig. I did a Tomorrowland flight last year, from Mnchen. This year, like

    DISCOVERY DIARIES

everything at Tomorrowland, the gate party and the plane just seem bigger. Last year I had a lot of turbulence, so it was a challenge to even stay on my feet. It was like I was playing on a surfboard! Naturally there are some other differences between playing on a big stage and on an airplane. I grab the mic a bit more, and I immediately start playing big hits because people still need to wake up and I want them to pay attention right from the start. Its a shame everybody needs to stay in their seat, so they cant really dance as much as I would like them to.

Pilot Pieter-Jan understands that Blanco would like to see everybody dance and jump through the plane but explains that, unfortunately, thats impossible. For us and the cabin crew its one of the biggest challenges of this flight to keep everyone in their seats, but imagine everyone moving to one side of the plane at the same time, for

instance. Such things would make it very hard for us to keep the plane steady in the air. And no matter how much fun this may be for everyone, keeping everyone safe is our number one priority, of course.

Back from the cockpit, the crowd is still ecstatic. Its an unreal sight to see an airplane full of people with glow-in-the-dark sticks bouncing and fist-pumping their way to the madness. Among them are Mattias and Joakim from Norway. For Mattias, this is his third time to Tomorrowland already, and hes told his friend so many good stories that he had to join this year. Mattias is always talking about Tomorrowland, about how its just something that you have to experience in your life. This flight is so sick already, I cant wait to see what happens when we get there! I hope to be overwhelmed by the atmosphere, the big stages and all the amazing DJs.

That feeling is shared by Corina and Sylvia, from Frankfurt. Ive wanted to go to Tomorrowland ever since I was 18, but I never really had someone to go with, Corina says. While these two girls are stepping of the plane and on to the bus that will take them to DreamVille, they dream of standing front row at the Dim Mak stage, together with their new friends from the party flight. Ready for a weekend full of new friends and memories thatll last a lifetime. During this years Discover Europe, four participants have

brought their diaries and documented their adventure through Europe to Tomorrowland. You can read all about their trip

    in tomorrows TML Today.

CASHLESS RECAPLike DreamVille and The Gathering, Tomorrowland will be entirely cashless this year. If you havent already done so online, you can top up your bracelet with Pearls using cash, Maestro debit cards, or MasterCard credit cards. Pearls are Tomorrowlands official currency, the only way to pay for things at the festival. For the various places where you can find cashless Top Up stands, see your festival map (page 26). Furthermore, there are three Cashless Info points located across the festival terrain: one by the DreamVille entrance, one by the central info point with the globe on top, and one at the Opera stage food court. Should you have any trouble topping up or paying, people are waiting to help you there.

    A PLANT-BASED BREAKFAST

At the DreamVille Marketplace, for all those who are looking for a tasty and energizing start to their day, theres the Alpro Breakfast Restaurant. On the menu is a number of offerings with granola (muesli) and Alpro Mild&Creamy, a plant-based alternative to yoghurt. Besides that, refreshing smoothies based on almond and coconut drinks are available, and theyre mixed with all kinds of delicious fruits such as mango, passionfruit and strawberries. If you require caffeine to kick-start your day, baristas will provide a range of coffees and lattes spruced up with soy and coconut-based drinks. And should you be in a hurry, theres handy bottles of Alpro drinks up for grabs, as well as on-the-go packaging for the rest of the menu. Everything that the Breakfast Restaurant offers is 100% free of animal products. So whether youre looking for a healthy breakfast, or a place to relax with a coffee during the day, Alpros Restaurant has got you covered!

AVOID FOOD QUEUES!To avoid waiting in line for too long, plan your meals smart and avoid the peak hours between

6 and 8 p.m. Better to have two small meals quickly than a large one slowly.

    GOOD MORNING!

    Daily Digest

Morning shines upon the lush fields of DreamVille for the first time again, and it is time for you to wake up. Yesterday was an exhausting day, full of travel and long; you hauled your tents, your luggage, yourself all the way to DreamVille, you set up camp... And then there was The Gathering to look forward to. Surely, your legs feel a little sore but hey, no better cure for that than the prospect of entering the Kingdom of Melodia, right?

Before your leave for the festival proper, however, look around a bit. Theres more to do at DreamVille than ever before. On the following pages, you can learn all about the attractions of the Marketplace and read what your fellow campers have to say about the weekend. Rest assured, though, that these page dont offer nearly enough space to describe all of DreamVille so after reading, roll out of your tent and into the great wide open!

BREAKING FAST WITHGreg has traveled all around Europe with two good friends from Austalia. One of the last places theyre visiting is Tomorrowland, and of course this should be the highlight of their journey. Greg also knows what to share with Natalie, Corey and David, new friends hes just made here: Just take some rice waffles with peanut butter and cashew nuts! Quite healthy and more importantly: it just tastes very good. Oh, and dont forget the tuna of course! Tuna is a source of protein, exactly what you need to survive a festival like this. Its the perfect meal to prepare your body for a long weekend. Feel free to join him today!

NEED TO KNOWMedical InformationWoke up without butterflies, but with a questionable feeling in your stomach? Dont hesitate to pay a visit to the pharmacy nearby. Apotheek De Voorzorg, Dokter Persoonslaan 19, 2830 Willebroek, is opened on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If you need immediate help, proceed to the nearest First Aid point straight away. The heroes of the Flemish Cross will provide accurate assistance.

Shower PowerThe showers in the regular areas (H, I, J) are open from 6am until 5pm. In areas A through G the showers are open 24 hours a day. A refreshing shower will cost you 2,5 Pearls, except between 6 and 8 am. Then a warm shower only costs 1,5 Pearls. For more information about Pearls check page 19.

Gunnar and Steven from Belgium: We finished building our tents very fast, so were using this extra time to relax now. Some last rest before the party starts with the Gathering tonight.

Lonothetis, Dinos and Zachos from Greece: We have too much free time today, so we just spent an hour and a half setting up our tents. We didnt

really put them up the right way, but theyre quite functional!

Timothy, Beatrice, Maki, Kiril, Jacob and Daniel from Sweden: We are busy building our tents, but we will probably not need them tonight. The

plan is just to drink and party, we are not planning to sleep!

TIP FOR TOMORROW DreamVille is a beautiful place, but we need each other to keep it like that. Todays tip to help you recycle: set up trashcans and ashtrays as soon as you arrive! Use a sturdy tent pole, chair or something similar to attach that big red trash bag you received to. And for good measure, cut a can in half or use an empty cup as an ashtray. If you do this right away, its much easier to dispose of your waste properly from the start.

Joan Vincent from Australia: My friends are all in an Easy Tent, so Im alone here on the Magnificent Greens. That suits me just fine; you can have fun with anybody on Tomorrowland. I asked somebody from France to take a tent for me so I didnt need to bring it on the airplane.

Xavier, Levesque, Maxim, Nicolas, Simon and Mireille from Canada: We came all the way from the state of Quebec and first took some rest in the Relax Room.

Now we will check in to our Easy Tents, so no building for us.

Matea, Sandra and Michaela from Croatia: We already went to Tomorrowland before and we just had to go back. Its such a special festival, everything is so well

planned and organized. We took everything on the airplane, including our tents. It wasnt easy, but we managed to keep everything within weight limits.

A thousand questions, a thousand and one answers. The all-knowing birds and bees of the District houses provide answers to any question you can conjure up. And even though we always say there are no dumb questions, the question Peter got today was dubious. To say the least.

The weirdest question people asked me so far... Where should I start? The best one I got thus far were probably the people who were searching for a small green box. Or asking where the restrooms were while standing right in front of them. But people are just more focused on having fun, so of course we are very willing to help them with their questions.

NEED TO KNOW Opening hoursDreamVille is open from Thursday 23 July until Monday 27 July. Check-in hours are as follows: Thursday 11h00 - 00h00, Friday 00h00 - 22h00, Saturday 10h00 - 15h00. Check-in is not possible on Sunday. Check-out is possible at all times until Monday 27th of July at 14h00. Everyone must leave DreamVille before 14h00. No exceptions! For the opening hours of Tomorrowland, see the timetables on pages 34-38. Lost and FoundItems found on DreamVille are taken to the regular Lost & Found stand on the festival. It can be found at the stairs to the day entrance, near the info point with the globe on top.

Remember your spotBefore you leave, remember your camping colour! Youll be able to find your Kingdom back that much more easily.

    DID YOU EVER WONDER?

Berni, Christoph and Flo from Germany: We built this chair only for this weekend. It has a built-in car radio, which is connected to

DreamVille Radio. We also included some lights to make it look extra cool during the night.

Its become a yearly tradition that Studio Brussel sends out its finest talents to provide DreamVille with its own camping radio station. DreamVille Radio has lined up a team of radio-loving youngsters and their sole mission is to bomb you with the best electro tunes and dance classics as well as the latest updates on both the local and worldwide news. This year theyll also have some eyes and ears on the camping ground itself, as their on-site reporters and photographer will be walking around checking whether or not you are having enough fun! And theyll also invite some of the freshest DJs for a deluxe late night

set, as a more than welcome goodnight cap for all of DreamVilles happy campers. Tune in and freak out!

Over the years Studio Brussels Wild Bunch has cultivated some the biggest future radio stars at Tomorrowland. But this year, most of the hosts emerged from Studio Dada Studio Brussels pool of up and coming radio and multimedia talents. Radio host Bram joined the DreamVille radio team in 2011 after winning the Studio Brussel contest, and has been a part of the madness ever since. Bram has since had the amazing opportunity to take on an internship

people. Things are happening right in front of you non-stop: people passing by, dancing in front of the studio and going crazy. Also, this year were right next to The Gathering. Last year our studio was located beside the entrance to DreamVille, a bit farther away from all the action. Now were pretty much in the epicentre of the madness. But whats the weirdest question Bram got from one of the passer-bys? If we could turn it down a bit, haha. During the build-up on Wednesday, a crew member came to ask if we could turn the volume down a bit. Obviously, we said no. Apart from that we didnt receive many questions yet, as this is just the first day and people are still looking around. But Im sure that will change a lot over the next few days. People will come and ask to hear this or that song, say hi to their friends or just to cling their faces to our windows like turtles.

Broadcasting pretty much all day and night, these radio stars work long hours. Bram: Yeah, we dont catch much sleep (laughs). Were broadcasting until 3 a.m. and then we still have to prepare for the next day. And from midnight until 2 a.m. were hosting late night DJ-sets by some of The Gatherings finest spinners. Were working hard but needless to say this is all great fun. You sort of collect the music and the atmosphere and you shoot it right back through the speakers and over the airwaves. Weve got some reporters on the field that do their very best to capture the full experience. That way we can share some of the Tomorrowland uniqueness with the people that are listening to the radio at home.

with a radio station in London. Because a significant part of DreamVille radio is conducted in English, Studio Brussel asked him to tag along once again. According to Bram, theres a huge difference between broadcasting in a studio and on the campsite. Bram: It may sound like a platitude but the biggest difference is that in a studio, youre pretty much shut down from the outside world, whereas over here youre really, really close to the

Its almost impossible to imagine DreamVille without the uplifting sounds of DreamVille Radio. This custom made radio show has been broadcasting since 2011 and theyre not even thinking about stopping. With DreamVille growing each year, there was also a growing need for a relaxing background soundtrack for in the showers and during breakfast and lunch. And so, DreamVille Radio was born. In this fifth year, they will reach the milestone of 200 hours of broadcast made live at DreamVille. That includes sessions with some of the greatest DJs in the scene, like Romeo Blanco, Wolfpack, Raving George, Aeroplane, Yves V and of course Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike!

SNEAKY STATUETTEEvery day, one of Art for Thoughts (AFt) little statues sneaks into our newspaper. Afterwards, they make their way onto the festival grounds if you spot one, dont forget to take a selfie and send it to us! Todays sneaky statuette is called:

Too fabulous to fit inShe's way too fabulous to go unnoticed on this festival. Sneaking out of Art for Thought's studio is her favourite hobby. Most of the time AFt finds her back in a jeweller's shop, seducing wealthy men hoping they will buy her some fancy bling-bling. Men, you have been warned!

In a kingdom where the people are as beautiful as those of Melodia, everyone wants to look their best. And what kind of outfit is better suited to this weekend than the official Tomorrowland Collection? At the stores located behind the Mainstage, by the festivals day entrance, between the Rave Cave and the Boathouse stage and by the DreamVille Marketplace, you can shop to your hearts content for the finest clothes Melodia has to offer. Alternatively, you can buy the items you want later at store.tomorrowland.com be careful though, as some things might be sold out. This years Tomorrowland Summer Collection has been entirely renewed, so theres something new for return visitors too.

    READY WHILE YOU WAIT BBQ

Eating BBQ is always great, of course, but actually grilling the meat can be a lot of work on a hungover DreamVille day. Luckily, theres no less than three D&L BBQ islands where the famous Belgian sauce brand will do it for you. With a history going back almost 130 years, D&L (Devos Lemmens) is the countrys most-loved, and arguably tastiest, supplier of sauce including the legendary Andalouse and Samourai recipes. All you need to do at their stand is hand in your meat, and youll soon watch it burst into a mouth-watering sizzle. While you wait, theres the opportunity to partake in a game of Twister, Jenga or Mikado, all of them in an XXL variant. Challenge your friends to find out whos the hottest and when youre done, dinner will be ready. Ready to be covered in delicious, complimentary D&L sauces, that is!

PARTY WITH LOVETheres hardly a name so intimately connected with lovemaking as Durex. This year at Tomorrowland, Durex aims to connect people to each other in the old-school, face-to-face way: partying with love instead of through screens and chats. Their stand behind the mainstage offers a number of colour-coded tattoos that let you display what kind of love you want this weekend. Theres three versions: one that says you just want to make some friends, one that says youve already found your boo and, of course, a message to indicate youre looking for some loving. Besides the tattoos, theres a fun social media game to enjoy anyway. Durex has installed a photobooth that couples or friends can enter to have their picture taken. If you do that and tag your photo on facebook.com/durexbelgium, then get all your friends to like it, you stand a chance to win a special trip to Ibiza with a Tomorrowland Party Experience. Think about it: all you have to do is find someone with the same tattoo as you, have some fun, and before you know it youll be on the worlds most famous party island!

Remember how FeestDJRuud bombarded the Desperados stage with inflatable animals last year? That surely was a spectacle! And as Tomorrowland prides itself in doing it better, bigger and bolder every year, this weekend youre in for a real treat. Every hour there will be a loud and clear call to action and youll be able to ring the bell hanging over the Desperados Club. Work together, climb on each others shoulders and form a human trapeze in order to ring the bell and unleash the madness, as if it were some huge, ringing party pinata. Desperados will bomb you with ammo for a pillow-fight, balloons, confetti, inflatable objects and much, much more. To accompany this hanky-panky of colourful items falling from the sky, the Desperados Club will offer a magical blend of soulful house, tremendous trap and uplifting mash-ups. With headliners Felix Da Housecat and Dominik Eulberg, combined with Belgiums finest like Goldfox, Sheridan and Ugur Yurt, Desperados isnt just a refreshing beverage its musically refreshing too!

The Gathering is that one special start to an amazing weekend full of wonderful surprises. Its the first page in a metaphorical book full of memories that we take home and cherish for the rest of our lives. And oh, how the People of Tomorrow gathered again this time, to celebrate being in such a wonderful place, to let love rule and to enjoy the gift of music.

If this massive yearly meet-up would have an anthem to it, it would be Bob Marleys One Love/People Get Ready, especially that line Lets get together and feel all right injected with some massive bass lines and a huge drop somewhere in the middle. After coming from different places all over the world, from different countries, ages and origins, The Gathering is the place to start the adventure, make new friends and get a glimpse of what is yet to come. Like Jade and Phuong from California, Florida, whove travelled 15 hours straight to get where they are now. It took us a flight, some horrible delays and a train ride from Cologne, but now that were here its amazing. Everything is way more impressive than we expected. We cant wait to visit the grounds tomorrow and share lots of love, fun and laughter.

This place will be a safe haven to the temporary inhabitants of the city called DreamVille. Belgian couple Koen and Sissi have claimed their spot and seem very relaxed and at ease. Its even more beautiful than we expected, all the decorations are crazy and the effort put into it is astonishing. Weve been looking forward to this weekend for two years now. Unfortunately we didnt get any tickets last year. We are really looking forward to the big DJs like Dimitri Vegas. Among the crowds theres also a big group of people who came in from Russia: We are really looking forward to meeting people from all over the world and different cultures, enjoying the great music and well Maybe getting a little bit tipsy at the end of the night.

Now that everybody has found their spot, put up their tent, met up with their lost buddies and fastened their countrys flag to themselves, or a flag pole, The Gathering is exploding with joy. It provides a sturdy underground to the first dance steps of the weekend, a place to let loose all the excitement gathered over the past year. All thats left to say here is: welcome home, People of Tomorrow this was a magical start to Tomorrowland 2015.

...Kenny, from the land down under, decided to go to Singapore to search for a job. I spent one of my first nights there drinking in a bar. I asked a guy for a cigarette. It was Abbas. Apparently, he just bought a new pack so he offered me two. A new friendship was born. A couple of weeks ago they started travelling in Europe, separately. Kenny went to Amsterdam, London and Paris. Abbas spent some time in Berlin. But the final destination was long set: Tomorrowland. They met early morning and are now sharing their stories with each other at The Gathering. We have seen a lot of new places, met a lot of new people. Its nice to see a friend again. Abbas brought another friend from Singapore. Its her first time in Europe. There couldnt be a better place to fall in love with this continent!

...living in Doha (Quatar), meeting his German friend at The Gathering. How did that happen? Well, shit happens! Christian says. He actually just arrived and still has to unpack. No, I will share our history with you. When I was a kid me and my parents moved from Greece to Germany. So I grew up there. As a teenager, I developed a love for motorbikes. Moped bikes, specifically. I had to get my drivers license, so I did just that when I turned 18. This is where the story of Max comes in. They met in class and shared their love for Moped bikes. Nowadays, the two live on different continents, but still feel united. The Mopeds have moved to the background slightly, but they still have a lot in common. We love music, we love Tomorrowland and we love each other! For us, Tomorrowland is the best place to celebrate our friendship.

...but most of the time they unite their people. Especially in this case. Brazil and Luxembourg united forever. A custom-made flag, brought to The Gathering by a Luxembourgian guy and a Brazilian girl. The story of Manu and Raquel, proudly waving their flag in the air together, is one about true love. Raquel came to Luxembourg one year ago for work and never left. And I never will! I love Luxembourg! Why? Him! He smiles, she shines. If people were light she definitely would be the sun. We came with a lot of friends to, Manu says. One guy is from Greece, but most are from Luxembourg. Raquel was hoping to have friends over from Brazil, but unfortunately they could not make it. They went to Tomorrowland Brasil this year. And they will go next year too. So, in a way, we are still united.

Theres two different ways to add new friends to your profile. The first is the online friend finder option. Click Friends, set the search location filters, and the site automatically shows you new people to add. Alternatively, use your bracelet: when you meet that special someone during the festival, simply hold your bracelets close together (its a great opportunity to hold hands!), press the heart button, and voil: youve been added to each others profiles!

The bracelets RFID magic doesnt only allow you to make online friends, it also links photos made at Tomorrowland directly to your profile. Professional photographers provided by Canon are stationed at the Mainstage, the Opera stage, the One World bridge, the globe info point and the big Tomorrowland sign by the Rave Cave. If you have a picture taken by them, simply hold up your bracelet to their custom transmitter, press the button, and the photo will be uploaded to your profile. Even if your profile hasnt been activated yet, youll receive the photo by email, along with an invitation to the People of Tomorrow community.

    How to make friends?

    TOMORROWS COMMUNITY

Its been a long time coming, and now its finally arrived: a place for the People of To-morrow to come together outside of the festival, online, 365 days a year. The offi-cial People of Tomorrow Community is the platform of choice to remain friends with those you meet at the festival, exchange photos and messages, and meet new peo-ple to unite with as well.

Melodia is, as it turns out, is not only a secret kingdom, but also brings a permanent community into existence. Designed for you to connect and unite not only during the three days of Tomorrowland, but in everyday life as well, the online platform facilitates making friends easily. First, you need to register which is easily done through the activation email automatically sent to everyone whose bracelet has been activated. You can then immediately start finding your friends. Once youve added each other, you can view each others profiles and exchange messages. On your own profile, upload photos taken inside or outside of Tomorrowland, write a little bit about yourself for new visitors, and show off why you are one of the People of Tomorrow. And in the public part of the community, theres the possibility to post discussion topics about whatever you want to talk about. Others can vote on the best topics and comment, sharing stories and fun times. The Community, all in all, is far more than a service to easily exchange contact info. Its meant to be a veritable social network, built by and home to a thriving nation of People of Tomorrow.

The seaweed is always greener in somebody elses ocean, but the bottom of the North Sea holds some of Bel-giums finest delicacies. Belgian mussels in a beautiful setting: thats what you can expect at Tomorrowland this year. The festival has become home to the Oesterput, the famous shellfish and crustacean restaurant at Blankenberge, to serve to visitors the best mussels in the world. They will be preceded by and appetizer of freshly peeled, delicious shrimp. For this occasion, Chef Piet Devriendt has created a Tomorrowland version of his famous seafood dish. What more could you possibly ask for?

Off the Hook WithNorth Sea Delicacies

Pieter Devriendt: Were bringing our famous restaurant, De Oesterput, to Tomorrowland. Well be cooking up some famous dishes which will be accompanied by a refreshing beer or a nice glass of wine. For starters theres a seafood salad that we built around the well-known North Sea prawns from Zeebrugge. These prawns were peeled by hand and they are a true statement of the freshness and quality we wish to maintain even on the festival grounds. The main course obviously consists out of Belgian mussels with a side of Belgian fries or bread. Theres mussels natuur (with fresh vegetables), mussels with white wine, the famous mussels Oesterput... And for this occasion we also made a special Tomorrowland version of our mussels, with a sauce containing scallion, honey and soy sauce youll definitely want to try this one out!

Its the first time the Oesterput is a part of the variety of cuisines Tomorrowland offers and Pieter is more than delighted about this. This is a truey unique opportunity for us. The atmosphere is just amazing. Its always great fun to take your kitchen on the road, weve been cooking on some other big festivals the last couple of years, but Tomorrowland is like a whole different league. We see it as some sort of a window to the world, a chance to have people from other countries and other cultures become acquainted with our typically Belgian food which we are very, very proud of, by the way. Working on a festival where it might just be even hotter outside of the kitchen, fortunately Pieter has a little spare time to enjoy the madness himself. After our shift were lucky enough to have a few hours left to go dancing. Ive visited

the festival over the last two years and every time again its blown my mind. For my father - Chef Piet Devriendt - and a lot of my colleagues this is the very first time and they have been looking forward to Tomorrowland for months. Weve cooked at a lot of festivals and even made some mussels at home with Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, but being able to introduce the Oesterput at Tomorrowland is truly a dream come true! If youre up for a nice pot of mussels and a fresh pint of beer, hurry up, because the Oesterput at Tomorrowland still has a few vacant tables for you to fill! I LOVE THE 90S

This stage takes you on a trip down memory lane. Some of the most iconic dance music heroes of the 90s are playing their hits from the past, recreating that good old happy hardcore atmosphere that the decade is so (in)famous for. Resident DJ Ward will open the stage at noon, returning again at 10 p.m. when the party is really going off. Guido Pernet, the hardcore pioneer representing the classic Human Resource quartet, closes this stage with a set during which you can doubtlessly dance and jump the soles off your shoes. Go back to the 90s at number 13 on your map.

When it comes to raw, fresh underground sounds, the QULT stage surely knows how to pick a line-up. In the mystical fairy paradise that is Tomorrowland, QULT strikes a darker and very powerful note. The line-up consists of some of the most cutting edge artists throughout the subground genre, such as Geck-o, Phrantic and S1ngular. This being the first day of the festival, you still have the energy you are going to need when you pay this beautifully decorated stage a visit! You can find the hard hitters of Tomorrowland at number 7 on your map.

    DIM MAK

At Dim Mak, expect full-on madness. Label founder Steve Aoki is famous for his crazy antics during shows, throwing pies everywhere, spraying champagne on the audience and jumping on airbeds from the stage. The music his Dim Mak friends make suits that craziness perfectly. Among the ones Aoki brought to Tomorrowland are big shots like Deorro and Keys N Krates, who will move from one climax on to the next one in no time. If you are looking for a stage to enjoy the hottest EDM bangers and go completely wild, number 4 on your map is the place to be.

    PROGRAMME FRIDAY

Hailing from the Dutch town of Spijkenisse, Nick has been hard at work on a superstar DJ career since his teenage years. He first made it to his home countrys charts in the late 2000s and quickly started working with the worlds biggest pop stars; he has collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Whiz Khalifa and Sting to his name as well as remixes for Madonna and Lady Gaga. And thats only a small selection of his enormous body of work over the past eight years. Afrojack has become a household name in EDM, someone who tries to bridge the gap with pop music as much he can.

Today, however, he takes a step back from explosive mainstage sets and plays for two and a half hours under his birth name. With a discography as impressive as Nicks, its not unthinkable that it will contain a lot of his own work, but its also pretty sure to be a trip down dirty (or Dutch) house memory lane. One of the direct precursors of modern-day mainstage EDM, this was arguably the most popular electronic genre in the Netherlands and Europe in general in the late 2000s, and Afrojack was one of its forerunners. Todays Daybreak Session is a house history lesson by one of the driving forces of the genre.

COONE Do you consider Tomorrowland a home game? Absolutely! This is nearly in my backyard. I live in Turnhout, so this just a couple of kilometres away from my home. So I just love to come back to the festival grounds of De Schorre. My foreign colleagues are very jealous that these are, like, my neighbours! This weekend it will be your 11th time at the festival. Are you planning anything special?I just hope to improve myself every year, and that the DJ crew notices my efforts and my progress. With my sets I want to convince the big shots that hardstyle may just earn its place on the Mainstage. In this respect, The Gathering is a unique chance to prove myself and show the world that hardstyle is big. But every time I come here its a blast! The most memorable time was probably when I played the Mainstage with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Another great thing was closing the Dim Mak Stage last year. Those were definetly my most precious Tomorrowland moments. You know, theres three sorts of crowds, the way I see

it: the Mainstage-crowd, the more label-based smaller stage crowd like Dim Mak, and the Q-dance crowd. All three of them have their merits and I love em all, but if I had to choose I would just love to hit that Mainstage again! One of your most recent releases is Into The Madness, did you make that one especially for Tomorrowland?Yeah, it does have a small wink towards the festival. I premiered it at the festival last year and this is an exclusive one Friday well also be presenting another very fresh and brand new Coone track! Its the perfect opportunity to show the world my newest work. You also remixed rock band Linkin Park. Is there a correlation between rock and hardstyle? My label-boss Steve Aoki is a good friend of the Linkin Park guys and I am a huge fan of Fort Minor Linkin Park rapper Mike Shinodas side project.

So when I heard that Steve was working on Linkin Parks new album I just had to be part of it. I called Steve and urged him to make it happen. It was pretty surreal being in contact with Mike Shinoda, one of my ultimate heroes. So its not really a rock-hardstyle thing, its just the fanboy that took the best of me (laughs). Youre playing The Gathering on Thursday, the Dim Mak Stage on Friday and the Q-Dance on Saturday. Do you approach each set differently? In a way, yeah. The set I played at The Gathering was slightly more commercial cause over there, youre playing for a more general crowd. But have no fear: every set I play will be 100% Coone!

From a young age, Coone has been mesmerized by music in all its different shapes and forms. The creation of his successful label Dirty Workz was a huge step in this young mans career, allowing him to take his music beyond even his own

expectations. Besides, its given new talents within hard dance a respectable platform to launch new and exciting sounds into the scene. We sat down with the mind behind it all for a spot of explanation.

Alessos way to stardom is certainly peculiar one. He became highly addicted to electronic music at the age of 16, which then had a catalyst effect on him. He started to figure out bit by bit how to produce, mix and master his own music, with a little help from an all-time favourite: Sebastian Ingrosso. Alessos personal imprint is clearly visible in his handful of releases: he chooses quality over quantity and wants sheer perfection. Which makes the listener happy, because all of his tracks have that typical, energetic flow and Alesso feel to them. Signing to the legendary Def Jam Recordings meant the release of his brand new album Forever. This album is a mix of all sorts of music, showing his diversity as an artist and producer. And how does he keep up this tempo? Well with a fairly intense coffee addiction, to say the least.

Yeah, you guessed right. Cazzette is named after those odd-looking cassette tapes that were used before the digital realm was invented. And if you didnt know that, you must have missed the giant cassette tape masks they wear on stage. The extraordinary Swedish duo consists of Alexander Bjrklund and Sebastian Furrer, who met each other through the old-school platform Myspace. Theyve paved their musical pathway with gold by otherworldly hits like Blind Heart and Together (ft. Newtimers), creating something distinctively different from the rest of the Swedish EDM explosion that was topping the charts a few years ago. It was soon clear that these guys have a sensual way of blending genres together, from house to slick R&B and groovy disco sounds. This can create sets which go from 90 bpm up to 135 bpm until a fast-passing 160 and then back again. Surely you want to see that.

Dyro went from being an unknown bedroom producer in a fairytale-like town called Leiden, The Netherlands, to being a world-renowned DJ and producer. His extensive tour schedule doesnt let him set foot in his hometown that much anymore, though, especially not after dropping that mindboggling Daftastic track back in 2011 on Hardwells Revealed Recordings. On top of that, his debut entry in DJ Mag Top 100 poll was the highest new entry ever. Of course this has everything to do with his hard, driving bass lines, enchanting melodies and vigorously energetic drops that will get you jumping within seconds. Dyros future certainly is promising with a distinctive sound, some great collaborations and his own record label, WOLV. And for the ones who just cant get enough of him, hes introduced his Youtube series Dyros Diaries, giving you a sneak peek into his life as well as behind-the-scenes footage.

Hailing form the UK comes wAFF, just in his 20s and already exceeding everyones expectations. Self-expression comes naturally with this former dancer and actor. The gifted young man started fiddling with production software about 10 years ago.

He didnt come out of his musical shell that easily and instead he eagerly perfected his musical abilities for several years, waiting for that perfect hit to go big. His career skyrocketed when the well-crafted track Jo Johnson got released back in 2012. It didnt take long for guys like Jamie Jones, Sven Vth and Cajmere to notice this too. Since then he and his positive vibes have been elevating the energy level at the biggest house clubs and festivals all over the world. From his warm and red-hot Space InvadaZ to the anthemic Love, this is the music you that will keep you going all night.

When it comes to trance Mark Schulz is the veteran you want to hear. Schulz has been given the somewhat odd nickname of Unicorn Slayer, due to his dark, fast and aggressive melodies, chucking out some of the fluffy stuff you sometimes hear.

With over 20 years of experience this man has created his own sound, mixing in progressive, house, and trance into one big melting pot. He feels at peace when hes behind the decks at a club or festival, no matter the size of the crowd on the floor. In his musical career hes delivered over five artist albums, a dozen compilations and loads of singles and remixes, numbering into impressive double digits. Theres no hipster haircut, no twitter beefs, just making the stuff he likes. This guy is truly all about music, and if you still dont believe it, just go see for yourself at the TranceAddict stage.

Riverside Motherf*cker! Thats one of the first things that come to mind when you think of Sidney Samson. But of course theres a lot more to this guy than that one monster of a hit. Sidney loves DJing but is a producer first, working together and crafting sounds with people like Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Will.I.Am, and Pitbull. Starting out with R&B and hip-hop tunes, he soon became influenced by the burgeoning Dutch house music scene and immediately switched to that sound. Playing the Matrixx, one of the biggest clubs in Holland, is where things really took off. After years of ongoing success Sidney is still responsible for club bangers like Thunderbolt (with Justin Prime) and Torrent (with Martin Garrix). And to top things off, he recently started exploring a new frontier by creating his own record label. Artificial Recordings is the imprint to watch for some amazing new music.

    A WORD FROM

    DIRTCAPS

We are very excited to come back to Tomorrowland for the second year in a row. We think that its fair to say that Belgium is well-known for their delicious beers and amazing chocolate, but for us and probably every single fan of Electronic Dance Music (in its widest sense) it is this amazing festival, held every year in this little city called Boom.Theres something about this festival that is hard to explain. Its more than just a festival, its a community. People who visit Tomorrowland dont just visit a festival, they enter a different world which becomes their own for these 3 days in mid-summer July. Last year was the first time we got to enter this world ourselves and we were lucky enough to be able to play both of the 10 year anniversary weekends.Tomorrowland is, in our eyes, pretty much the ultimate festival for every DJ and this definitely applies to Dirtcaps as well. Thats why we want to do something special with shows like this. We always try out new music and think of cool ways to make our set something special and give the people something new, fresh & exciting. We think its really cool that the line-up this year is full of variety. Its not only EDM or Progressive but there are a lot of cool stages that offer completely different genres and/or concepts. We think stages like QULT or the Barong Family stage hosted by Yellow Claw are good examples of the diversity in the Tomorrowland programme. Its not mainstream only; its different, innovative and open-minded. Its so dope to see that the most famous festival worldwide programs that way and serves its complete audience to its own personal taste. We cant wait to see all of you on Friday the 24th at the QULT stage for yet another edition of this amazing festival!

This well-respected producer has played a major role in redefining European house music. Solomuns underground status is enormous, getting the credit he deserves after residencies at Ibiza, his own parties and his Diynamic label, which releases some of the finest House out there. His high spirits and relaxed attitude towards life are reflected in the music he makes. Creating the stuff that makes people lose their minds, hearts, fears, and souls, that makes part of the musical experience that he represents its real wizardry if you ask us. Between doing shows and travelling the world hes also got some time for his own productions, like one of his latest tracks called Friends. A laidback and cheerful tune that makes you think about long nights and early sunsets, it has been released on one of Solomuns newest projects: a brand new label called 2DIY4, which is Diynamics little sister.
