Overview: Tommy LeBeau graduated top of his class, magna cum laude, in May of 2016. Along the way he completed multiple internships in the petrochemical and oil & gas industries. Engineering assignments during those internships ranged from rotating equipment engineer to requisition engineer. Currently, he is assigned to S & B’s mechanical group as a mechanical specialist 1. His roles as a mechanical specialist 1 include performing design sketches and calculations, gathering data and equipment information from the field, and preparing design guides, guide specifications, and contract proposals. Expertise: Tommy LeBeau has experience in gathering vendor data to compile requisition and purchase packages for various types of equipment. He is familiar with API / ANSI pumps and pressure vessels. He is familiar with industry codes and standards such as ASME, API, PIP and ASTM. Tommy LeBeau also has experience in working on international projects as he worked with a team of engineers to move a plant from Chile to Geismar, LA. Detailed Experience: Exxon Mobil’s Baton Rouge Refinery, Sulfur Reduction Unit Project

This project included the revamp of the existing unit. Tommy LeBeau’s primary focus as a mechanical summer intern was the formation of bid tab evaluations for rotating equipment, specifically pumps. His role was to compare different vendor data and make recommendations as to which piece of equipment was best suited for the required process specifications. (5/2014 – 8/2014)

Methanex: Chile to Geismar ProjectThis project included a scope responsibility of relocating an entire plant from Chile, South America to Geismar, LA. Tommy LeBeau’s primary focus as the mechanical summer intern was working to prepare bid tab evaluations for various pieces of equipment including: a steam desuperheater, cooling tower screens, and steam vent silencers. His role was to compare different vendor data and make recommendations as to which piece of equipment was best suited for the required process specifications. (5/2013 – 8/2014)
