Sewing Block
Fusible Applique
1. Place 5½" x 12½" Table right sides together to 7½" x 12½" Background. Sew with ¼" seam.
2. Press toward Table.
3. Place shapes wrongs sides together to fabric.
1. Trace Shapes on Paper Back Fusible Web.
2. Rough cut about 1/8" around shapes.
4. Using Manufactured instructions, fuse pieces to fabric.

Tomato Placement
6. Remove paper from shapes. Hint: Tear edge slightly to start. Then peel paper away.
5. Cut out shapes. 1. Place Background on pressing mat. Use Ruler to find center of block. Line the one inch line along the seam. Using ruler place Sides three inches away from one side. Position so Tomato is approximately eight inches wide.
2. Using ruler as weight fuse Sides in place.
3. Fuse Strawberry.

1. Using your favorite erasable marking pen, draw out vine and thread.
2. Place colored thread in top and bobbin. Sew around Tomato using blanket stitch.
3. Embroider by hand or sew by machine using a back stitch.

4. Place Center, Stems and Needle on Block. Fuse.
