Toilet Roll Chick

You will need:

2 Carefully cut the toilet paper roll in half with the scissors. You should end up with two similar sized tubes.

3 Paint the two tubes yellow. If you don’t have yellow paint, you can wrap the tubes in yellow paper.

What To Do:

• Toilet paper roll

• 2 googly eyes (optional)

• Yellow poster paint

• Yellow card or paper

• Orange card

• Chick Template

• Paint brush

• White glue (such as PVA)

• Glue spreader

• Plate for glue and paint

• Scissors

In preparation, print out the Chick Template. Or if you feel confident copying the shapes and drawing your own, you can skip this step.

5 When the two yellow tubes are dry, position them one beside the other. Stick them together using glue and wait for it to dry.

6 Once the glue is dry, glue the beak googly eyes on to the top tube. If you don’t have googly eyes, you can use the eyes from the Chick Template, or draw your own.

8 Glue the wings on the inside of the top tube. You will need to make sure they are stuck at the bottom section of this tube.

88 Finally, glue the chick’s feet in place on the base of the bottom tube.

Carefully cut out the chick’s beak, feet and wings from the Chick Template, or draw and cut your own onto card and cut them out.
