TOGETHERNESS……… JUNE2012
TALENT TAGGED ……….
On 1st May 2012 the students of grade 2 sang, danced,
mono acted , recited poems and narrated stories as part of
the Talent tagged organized for the them to exhibit their
talents.
INTERCLASS SINGING COMPETITION
An interclass singing competition was held on
May 16th,2012 . Children sang melodiously to the
best of their ability. Prizes were awarded to all the
three sections, for presentation, sense of rhythm,
and choice of song.
FIELD TRIP
• The students were taken on an Edutainment trip on Thursday, 17th May to Children’s city. The
children had an opportunity to explore, play,
discover, and learn about the world in which we live.
• From science to nature and space, the exhibits
included a planetarium, theater, and a space for
under fives.
SAFETY WEEK
Various events were organized during the safety week to
create awareness on the various aspects of the safety.
Counselor spoke about good touch and bad touch. Display
boards mentioned about various safety aspects. Emergency
exit plan was explained to the students and fire drill, live
demo on how to use fire extinguisher was conducted by
civil defence.

BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN HOME AND SCHOOL……
• Kindly make it a habit of going through child’s diary
even though there is nothing new.
• Do go through school website – www.jsspsdubai.com
on regular basis for all updates.
• Kindly keep track of the activities of the month and send the required things on the days mentioned. This goes a long way in helping your kids to be actively involved in the activities .

Remember to carry the following things with you everyday.
a) Your school diary and a rough book . b) A pencil box with 2 sharpened pencils, a sharpener, 1
eraser, and 1 plastic ruler. c) A set of 12 color pencils.

Important.All personal belongings should be
marked with the child’s name to avoid
confusion in the class.
Do not send any fancy items to school.
The house uniform has to be worn only
on Thursday’s.

Counsellors of Our school had an awareness session on safety for Grade 1-4 children in small groups.
( 20/5/12 to 23/5/12 )
Objectives –
• To educate them on aspects of personal safety
• To create awareness among children about unsafe touch
• To teach them to protect themselves from strangers
Teach your child for their safety
Teach your child their full NAME, ADDRESS
and TELEPHONE NUMBER.
Talk to child about
STRANGER -DANGER.
Teach your child to approach a SAFE
ADULT-like store person or Police officers or
security guards, If we he/she gets separated in
a store, park.
Ensure that your child is in your VISUAL RANGE when you
take them out- a park or a big store
Make it a rule in your house that your child
never answers the DOOR alone
Let your child know that there are NO SECRETS in your
home only SURPRISES
Dear Children,
Surely ! You are all excited about the summer vacation, do get plenty of rest, eat
well, sleep well and have lots of fun.
Come back to school on the 9th of September, 2012 well refreshed.
You can use the summer vacation to catch up with a lot of things that you have
not been able to do during the school days. Try to read many books, help your
parents at home and take care of yourselves.
Have a delightful summer vacation.
