What is the TOEFL iBT test? The TOEFL iBT test measures your ability to use and understand English at the university level. And it evaluates how well you combine your listening, reading, speaking and writing skills to perform academic tasks.

Why do students who want to study abroad take the TOEFL iBT test? A TOEFL test score is an admission requirement for non-native English speakers at many English-speaking colleges and universities. It is widely accepted around the world by more than 9,000 colleges, universities and agencies in 130 countries. (Institutions that Accept TOEFL Scores)

Test Fee • Costs depend on the test location you choose (ranges from

US$160 to US$250)

• The test fee includes:

• one examinee score report for you

• up to four official score reports to the destinations (institutions or agencies) selected when you register; ETS will send the official score reports directly to these destinations

Important information:

• Be sure to spell your name exactly as it appears on the identification you will bring on test day.

• If you want to reschedule or cancel your registration, you must contact ETS at least three full days before your test date (not including the day of the test or the day of your request).

• The fee to reschedule is US$60.

• If you cancel your registration by the 3-day advance deadline, you will automatically receive a refund equivalent to half of the test fee you paid.

Format The TOEFL iBT Test is administered via the Internet.

Content The TOEFL iBT test is given in English and administered via the internet. There are four sections which take a total of about four and a half hours to complete and each section is taken online.
