CASH COW—GONE WILD—CHRISTMAS
We are in the season of our year where it is a cash cow to one part of our society.
This season has always been a feeding frenzy to those who rob, steal, and vandalize
innocent people.
I don't know what word properly describes what took place on "BLACK FRIDAY".
This month we will talk about Christmas, what Christmas is, what Christmas is not,
and what a Christian attitude towards Christmas should be.
Read: Colossians 2
Luke 12:1-34
Matthew 6:1-4
Proverbs 4:7 "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all our
getting, get understanding".

Youth Announcements
Annual Youth Rally...
Our Annual NWT Youth Rally is on January 13-14 (41 days away) and we are looking
to fill our volunteer spots and we’ll need some special stuff that you might have
laying around the house. You can sign up for a volunteer position between now
and December 30 on the new website at the youth rally page. Click on “Volunteer”
at the bottom of the screen. Thank you in advance for your help!
Parents Night Out...
Attention Parents! We are having a “Parents Night Out” as a service to you! The
date is Saturday, December 17 from 5-9 (Yep, four hours of free time). Your kids
will have the opportunity for games, crafts, videos, worship and of course dinner
and snacks! All of this at no cost to you! We hope you can use this time to finish
holiday shopping, go on a date with your spouse, take a nap, do laundry, clean
house, visit friends or just relax! Got a neighbor or friend who could use some
help? Send them our way! We just need all parents to sign up and let us know how
many kids they are bringing no later than December 15! Feel compelled to donate
something? All monetary donations will go to Tampa Youth Missions.
Please have a Medical Release filled out for your child and any guests. Forms are
available on the bulletin board.

Keith’s Kitchen…
Keith’s Kitchen is an op-
portunity to support our
work in Honduras. Each
Wednesday at 6:15PM
Keith prepares a deli-
cious meal. The teens help with the
dessert, drinks and clean-up. All
proceeds go to the accounts of stu-
dents who help. There is no set fee
but your generous checks should be
made to Tampa Youth Missions.
Dessert this week is Greaves, Jaroch,
Berry.
Photo Directory Update…
Our new website will have a photo
directory which will include a section
for new members as well as all
members, elders, deacons and staff.
We are going to make an effort to
replace all of the out-dated photos
and will need your help. Office #2 is
set up for taking pictures. Beginning
today and throughout the month of
December, Tonia and Matt will be
available at this location, before and
after all services. All you need to do
is go to room #2 and smile. The
process should move along very
quickly and will only require 2 min-
utes at the most, of your time. Be
aware that if you do not have a new
picture taken, we will use what we
currently have on file. Having uni-
formity in background and size will
make for a much more attractive
website.
Church Pocket Directory…
Please pick up one of the pocket di-
rectories (located in the racks at the
sound booth) so you can have our
member’s phone numbers at your
fingertips when needed.

The Spring of Tampa Bay…
The Spring is Hillsborough County's
only certified Domestic Violence Pre-
vention and Emergency Shelter
Agency. Prevent. Protect. Change.
The mission of The Spring of Tampa
Bay is to prevent domestic violence,
protect victims and promote change
in lives, families, and communities.
We are collecting retail gift cards
(Wal-Mart, Target, etc) in small de-
nominations to allow each mother to
become more independent and em-
powered by purchasing what she
knows will make her children happi-
est. There is also a list of items for
teens and families on the bulletin
board if you would rather purchase a
gift. Checks should be made payable
to the church with “The Spring” on
the memo line. Please give to Tonia or
Shirley or drop in door #1. One of our
members will deliver the items on
Thursday, December 15, so please
drop off by December 14.
Poinsettias of Remembrance…
This year (as in years
past) you are encour-
aged to donate red poin-
settias in memory or in
honor of a loved one. They will be
displayed in the auditorium through
the holidays. Be sure to note
whose memory/honor you are
making the donation for so we can
publish it in the bulletin. Members,
do not water the plants—this will be
taken care of by the office staff (to
avoid over-watering and leaks).
Baby Girl Basket for Taryn Groves…
Taryn is having another girl, so if
you would like to show her your
love with a gift or gift card, a basket
is provided on the table in the Fel-
lowship Hall.
