We continue to give thanks for the Pastors, Staff,

worship leaders, tech team volunteers and others

who are making it possible for all to join together

in worship and in virtually everything. To set up a

Trinity meeting or small group virtual gathering,

the lead/organizer can simply email

[email protected] with the following infor-

mation: group/reason for meeting, date, time and

length of meeting time needed. Your meeting will

be set-up and instructions will be sent to you that

can be shared with the attendees.

*WAYS TO HELP* LINK AGAINST HUNGER

Trinity is a member of LINK. The LINK food panty

provides emergency food to families in need in

Herndon, Sterling, and Ashburn. The need for

food is exponentially greater than normal, and

LINK wants to extend whatever assistance it can

to those who are seeking help. LINK has practic-

es in place to reduce risk to volunteers and clients.

Opportunities to volunteer for LINK are listed at

this website link.

The LINK barrel is outside the church from

10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon on Tuesdays and Thurs-

days and 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sundays to receive

donations. All food items are needed, especially

hearty soups, canned meats (chicken, tuna, etc.),

jelly, peanut butter, canned vegetables (corn,

carrots, peas, potatoes — NOT green beans),

pasta sauce, diced canned tomatoes, canned pas-

ta (like Chef Boyardee), snack items for kids, bak-

ing products (oil, flour, sugar, etc.), toiletries

(deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, soap), toilet

paper and paper towels, and empty egg cartons!

FOOD FOR NEIGHBORS

Beginning in Herndon in 2016, it now supports

21 middle and high schools in Northern Virginia,

providing weekend food bags to are a teens.

With Trinity’s help, Food For Neighbors is dis-

tributing approximately 250 food bags every

week in Herndon.

HERNDON CARES UPDATE

As more people go back to work, Herndon

Cares will focus on those neighbors who contin-

ue to face grave food insecurity. These commu-

nity members will receive a monthly

#TakeoutTuesday dinner from local restaurants.

Herndon Cares will also use the universal expe-

rience of sharing food to encourage cross-

cultural relationships. While ongoing health con-

cerns will limit significant opportunities in the

near-term, eventually, #TakeoutTuesday will

grow into #TogetherTuesday, where community

members gather to enjoy food from local restau-

rants and to get to know each other. The next

#TakeoutTuesday is July 14.

tional gift cards, please send a note to Renee

REMEMBER TO KEEP

UP YOUR OFFERINGS

We are so grateful for the continued support of Trin-

ity during this time. Your offerings are a blessing as

we strive to meet the expenses of maintaining the

ministry of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Your help

enables our church to continue to effectively serve

our community through ministries of worship, albeit

virtual at times, and service to the community, i.e.,

preparing and distributing take out lunches for

LFTS; supporting LINK food pantry collection; pack-

ing weekend snack bags for elementary school chil-

dren, etc. Offerings may be made online through

the Trinity website, via bank checking, and via the

postal service. Thank you in advance for your gen-

erous support of our shared ministry in Jesus.
