We are a UK-wide charity and membership organisation which has worked for over 90 years to support early years practitioners. We welcome as members anyone who works in the early years sector across the UK and beyond.

All our members share the desire to be part of a like-minded group of practitioners who prioritise the needs of children and whose work is built on values-driven, principled pedagogy.

Which type of membership is right for me?

Group membership for organisations is significantly cheaper than paying for the equivalent number of individual memberships. There are three levels allowing multiple contacts to receive email updates and benefit from discounts on training, events and publications:Group A: 5 contacts and 2 copies of the JournalGroup B: 10 contacts and 4 copies of the Journal Group C: 25 contacts and 6 copies of the Journal

Universities and colleges which take out group membership (Group A, B or C), in addition to the specified number of staff contacts, will be able to claim free student membership for all registered full-time students. Details of how students can access this will be provided with the joining pack.

Multi-site membership allows a group of settings to join together and save even more on membership. This could suit you if you are part of a chain of day nurseries, or an academy chain, or if you are a less formally constituted group of settings so long as one organisation takes responsibility for handling the membership payments centrally.

Special offer for new group and multi-site members: join now and get a free Community Playthings truck worth £51 (Subject to availability. View truck details at www.communityplaythings.co.uk/products/wooden-toys/t72

Individual membership includes full price, concession and student/NQT options. Proof of status may be required for concession and student/NQT options.

Student and NQT membership costs only £15. It offers the same benefits as full membership, apart from the welcome pack and printed copies of the Journal, which are instead available online. It includes student rate attendance at branch meetings, member discounts on our events and publications, and discounts from our corporate partners.

Overseas membership is available for individuals and organisations based outside the UK. An additional postage charge is payable to cover shipping costs.
