TO MY INTENSIFIED

STUDENTSLOVE YOU MADLY!

I was not sure if I would be able to see you all again before school ended, so I wanted to make sure that I had a chance to tell you how I feel.

I think I told most of you that I have been a Federal Contractor (ask your parents about what this is) for the last 25 years. Things have changed in that time, and it wasn’t fun anymore. So, after the last layoff, I decided it was time for something else. A friend of mine talked me into substitute teaching “until” I find something else I would want to do. (So far I haven’t).I said, “No Way!”The rest is history.

I never knew how much I would love being in the classroom. It suits my personality.

ALL of you have brought so much JOY to my life.I looked forward to coming to school every day. No matter what was going on in my life, when I thought of my guys and dolls, everything was better.I was always happy to see you. Even when I wasn’t here, I was thinking of you.

I made room in my heart for all of you!

To each and every one of you:

I loved your energy.I loved your hugs.I loved your smile.I loved your honesty.I loved your silliness.I loved listening to you and I always will.I loved what makes you…you.I loved that we “connected.”I loved learning from you. You are dynamic…changing. I loved when you felt like you could tell me anything! (I keep confidences). That meant that you felt safe with me and that is important to me.

Do/consider these things:

• Make good decisions for yourself.

• Jealous people like to see you “bleed!”

• Use your instincts…they are there for a reason.

• Talk to your parents…yes!! I am one. They are your greatest allies

and they are the BEST THING that ever happened to you. And if don’t know it now, one day you will.

• Be relentless

• Be unstoppable..unleash that incredible force in you and consistently

create conditions to make it happen again and again.

• Be so hungry that it keeps you awake.

• You can accomplish anything.

• You are beautiful. Love the skin you’re in.

• Understand that people change...that means friends, too. It’s a natural process. They are supposed to over time. What goes around, comes around; and if they are truly your friend, they will be back.

• When you have the wrong mind-set, correct it…QUICKLY.

• When things are bad, they will only look up when you do.

THIS IS YOUR TIME !
