October 21-24 Celebrators Conference Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Pray for God to accomplish in our lives that which He wills. It should be a great time of fellowship with one another and the Lord.

As I visit some of our homebound members, I often hear comments from them about the cards of encouragement that many of you send to them. They are proud to show me the cards they receive. Many of them are beautifully designed and made by our mem-bers. If you would like to learn or exchange ideas about making cards, there will be a workshop at our church on September 26, 10:30a.m. in the fellowship hall. It’s free, just bring scissors and a glue stick or double-sided tape.

As a church family, we have a clear vision of what God wants this fellowship to do: “to know Christ and to make Him known.” True worship is our spiritual priority and loving people is our spiritual privilege.

» If you have made a personal commitment to God regarding your relationship with Him and/or this church, we encourage you to come forward during the invitation following the message to share this decision with our church family.
» Our offering time is an extension of our worship. As our guest, you are welcome to worship with an offering, but please do not feel obligated.
» Should you need help, please see one of our ushers. They’re ready to help you or get whatever help you may need.
» Wednesday evening activities begin with Youth Worship at 6:00 p.m. and Bible Study/ prayer service for adults at 6:30. A variety of activities are provided for children & students as well.
HOW TO JOIN OUR CHURCH FAMILY
By Baptism: For one who has accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior
and desires to obey Christ by being baptized by immersion.
By Letter: For one who is saved, has been baptized by immersion
after being saved and is a member in good standing of another
Baptist church.
By Statement: For one who has been saved and baptized by
immersion after being saved, but is not a member of another
Baptist church.
Come forward during the invitation at the end of the worship
service and tell the pastor that you want to become a member of
FBCG, and we will take care of the rest.

Youth camp out will be November 1st-3rd.
Outflow on Wednesday nights begin November 20th.
Seniors and college age students: Passion 2020 in Atlanta. De-cember 31st to January 2nd. You must sign up by September 22nd and $100 deposit by November 1st to hold spot.
Strength to Stand: MLK weekend $175 due by December 1st.
GFBC has plans to build a playground, but we need your help! Our
goal is to raise $60,000. Please write “Project Playground” on the
memo line of checks or in the notes section of Push Pay.

Best of the Blessed
October is drawing near and that means our annual Best of the
Blessed banquet for Christian Women’s Job Corp is ahead! October
26th to be exact! This will take place at Connect Church Guntersville
campus. Some of you have served this fundraiser many times and
others I am asking for the first time. This is also a great ministry for
your Group to do together for a local mission project. If interested in
helping or just want to purchase tickets for the event please contact
Mary Hinote.
