The inefficient Maycomb fire truck was pushed from
town by a group of men . There was another incident
which happened before the burning of the whole
house. Mr. Avery, one of the Maycomb residents, was
upstairs in the house, throwing a mattress and other
furniture out of the window onto the street. Suddenly,
the stairs caught fire and he began climbing out of the
window. Haplessly, he was stuck there which
dumbfounded many.

A sudden breakout of fire at Maudie Atkinson's house causes pandemonium between Maycomb Residents as they scurry to help. CONTINUED..
Soon later, Miss Maudie's
house collapsed with a gush of fire.
It was already morning when everyone
began to leave.
When she was in a better mood,
Miss Maudie Atkinson said,
'Only thing I worried about last “ I ALWAYS WANTED A SMALLER HOUSE.

He's too old to do things like
that and I told him so.'
Brave-hearted and perseverant
Miss Maudie has more
care and concern to the society
rather than herself.

The Klan UnmaskedThe Klan UnmaskedThe Klan UnmaskedThe Klan Unmasked
Last week , I published an article on this
newpaper headlined
' Why I believe in Segregation'
This sparked alot of support from the well known
Ku Klux Klan in Alabama.
I was contacted by the group last Wednesday when
they asked me to put an advertisment on the
Maycomb Weekly for their upcoming ralley.
This was my first time encountering the group and
I was keen to learn more about them.
It may not come as a shock to you that the KKK has killed over 6000
Negroes since the founding of the group in the late 1860's. The group began as a social
club of young men in Tennessee. These men had all one thing in common , the hatred of
'niggers'
They quickly adopted a ghostly white uniform ( shown below ) and rituals that frighten
superstitious Negroes till this day. The Klansmen lost little time recruiting members with
55,000 members throughout the country, although most are based in the south.
The Klans aims are to have a supreme white race or
otherwise known as 'The Perfect American Race' .
Their hatred towards Negroes is obvious however
they are also against Catholics as they believe they
are not 100% loyal to America considering they are
also loyal to the Pope.
The Klan today take part in daily lynching and terrorising of Negroes , saying their job
is to 'Clean Up America'.
Page 2
The reputation of the Ku Klux Klan has been somewhat misunderstood in the latest
few years according to the group.
The group describes themselves as 'an organisation that creates a purer world,
and we do that by killing all non-whites in the world, including blacks. We also
kill the Catholics and terrorise and evacuate people from houses by burning
crosses'.
If you wish to join the group , visit there website atwww.KuKluxKlan.com
I Hope to see you all at the next ralley.
