• CHILDREN MUST BE AT LEAST EIGHT (8) YEARS or OLDER and 4 FEET TALL for TUBE RENTAL & SHUTTLE BUS RIDE AT SRTR. *If a Child does not meet BOTH of these requirements, SRTR will not rent tubes or provide shuttle bus service to ANYONE in the Group. NO EXCEPTIONS ARE PERMITTED TO THIS POLICY!• LIFE VESTS are recommended for CHILDREN, NON-SWIMMERS, INEXPERIENCED SWIMMERS and ANY Person who questions whether or not He/She needs a Life Vest!• ALCOHOL, DRUGS and the Salt River DO NOT MIX! Play it Safe...Just Don’t Do It! Have a great time and responsibly appoint a Designated Driver BEFORE your tubing adventure.• GLASS CONTAINERS are PROHIBITED BY LAW at Salt River Tubing and the Lower Salt River Recreational Area. Ice chests and coolers will be checked.• DRINK PLENTY OF WATER while tubing. Drink at least 1-2 bottles of water per hour to help prevent dehydration.• TENNIS SHOES or other protective footwear are recommended while floating and walking to/from the Salt River’s entry/exit points.• SUNBLOCK lotion should be applied BEFORE and DURING your floating trip. A minimum 30 SPF is recommended.• STYROFOAM COOLERS are NOT recommended for tubing on the Salt River.• WEAR A CAP/HAT or VISOR while tubing. It will help shield your face and head from the rays of the sun.• TYING TUBES TOGETHER while floating is NOT recommended.• DO NOT LITTER! “Stash it and Bag it” in litter bags while tubing. Salt River Tubing’s Floating Beach Blast is an Arizona tradition that millions have enjoyed for decades. The Salt River Recreational Area is an inexpensive getaway close to the Phoenix Metropolitan area and offers “chills and thrills” while shooting the rocking rapids. Relax and float on the cool and refreshing mountain-stream waters and experience the natural wonders of the “mini-Grand Canyon” in Tonto National Forest. Enjoy the beauty of our recreational paradise and catch a glimpse of the wild horses crossing mid-stream, blue herons gliding across the water and the majestic mountains as you float by. It’s the perfect venue for creating a memorable, enjoyable adventure in the great outdoors. Salt River Tubing offers a variety of tubes including rental tubes for ice chests. You may choose 2, 3 and 5-hour trips that include float time and Shuttle Bus ride, water flow and business demands permitting. Tube rental and shuttle bus service is available daily 9:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m, weather conditions, water flow and business demands permitting. The last shuttle bus pickup from the river is 6:30 p.m. The Tube Rental Terminal provides clean restrooms, free customer parking and a snack bar that sells cold drinks, snacks, sunscreen and life vests. A valid Driver’s License is required as a tube rental deposit per five tubes rented. Credit cards and cash are accepted at Salt River Tubing. A valid Driver’s License matching the credit card information is required for credit card transactions. Join Salt River Tubing for a unique experience during our costume-themed events such as Rocking Rodeo Roundup, Salt River Pirates, Mega Hawaiian Hula, Spook-tacular Halloween, Colossal Super Heroes Splashdown and Mardi Gras Magic. The events offer live entertainment, line dancing, hula and limbo contests plus prize giveaways. Costumes are optional. Since 1981, Salt River Tubing has been providing tube rental and shuttle bus transportation to recreationists from May through September each year in the Lower Salt River Recreational Area. Salt River Tubing is a family-owned, recreational service partner with the USDA Forest Service in the Tonto National Forest in Mesa, Arizona. Beat the heat and chill out on the rocking Salt River!
