The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) is affiliated to Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut. It is equivalent to B.Tech /B.E in Computer Science or Information Technology. I.T.S. has collaborated with renowned companies and agencies

t o d e s i g n a c o m p r e h e n s i v e curriculum for BBA and BCA students.

Such courses provide exposure to the students to upgrade themselves as per the

requirements of the industry, to face the challenges of the corporate world effectively. The

students are also provided with the study material and live case studies for understanding real time business

insights. On the completion of the programme, the students are awarded with certificates. In the past,

the institution had tie-ups with organizations like ICOFP, NIS, NIIT, Oracle University etc. In the

current year, I.T.S has tied- up with HCL for marketing, BSE for finance and CETPA for

Personality Development Programme

Personality Development Programme at I.T.S. aims at grooming students for enhancement of confidence, positive attitude and requisite skills in the students. High-quality education along with holistic development of personality is an essential prerequisite for a top notch career. The objective of the programme is to accentuate one’s ability, who can map up to the corporate demands and measures. It enables the students to learn and develop the qualities of group dynamics, etiquette, effective communication

and many more attributes that are required for a versatile personality.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP CELL

“Lakshay”, the E- Cell of the Institute is a student driven cell which takes care of the entrepreneurship related activities of the campus. The objective of the cell is to foster the spirit of entrepreneurial spirit among the students. The Cell serves as a platform to develop leadership t ra i ts , provide necessary knowledge and skills so that students can transform their ideas into vibrant business proposal. The event calendar comprises of competitions to test the innovative ability and rigor of the participant’s thought process. Several w o r k s h o p s o n E n t r e p r e n e u r s h i p Development Programmes have been conducted by senior officials of NIESBUD, a Govt. of India Undertaking, MSME, DST & NSIC.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE To enhance the value addition of students at I .T.S, they are provided with an opportunity to learn a globally accepted business language – French. This one year course is a certified program, taught by an eminent faculty, qualified from Alliance Francaise. It helps the students to develop a broader understanding of cross cultural management.

Most companies look for candidates with foreign language skills. I.T.S has realized this need of the hour and incorporated Foreign Language in the form of self financing value add-on in the first year of BBA and BCA programme. An ability to speak French is an advantage in the international job markets. Speaking French opens up study opportunities at renowned French Universities and business schools.

II – Merit Scholarship In BBA, the first 36 students are awarded at the time of admission, as per following details:• 75%-79.90%: For 20 students –

Rs 20,000/- concession in academic fees of first year only.

• 70% - 74.90%: For 16 students – Rs. 10,000/- concession in academic fees of first year only.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS

To encourage academic performance and to reward excellence in academics, I.T.S has instituted a system of awarding scholarships to deserving and meritorious students. The various categories include-

SCHOLARSHIPS

Awarded at the time of admission and is applicable for first year students of BBA and B C A , b a s e d o n t h e i r X I I s t a n d a r d performance.Scholarship categories include:I -Topper’s Scholarshipa) 85% and above – First seven students in

BBA and first five students in BCA, are given Topper’s Scholarship. Under this category, students are exempted from tuition fees for all the three years, subject to following condition:

• Full tuition fee waiver for all the three years, if student secures 80% and above in University Examinations of I and II year.

b) 80% - 84.90% - First eight students in BBA and BC A each are given Topper’s Scholarship. Under this category, 50% concession in tuition fees is given in first year only.

MERIT AWARDS

Merit Awards are given to II and III year students based on the performance in I and II year University examinations respectively. It is awarded to top 10% meritorious students of each batch at the end of each year. Details are:• The first one third of students get a cash

prize of Rs. 7,500/-• The second one third of students gets a

cash prize of Rs. 5,000/-• The third one third of students gets a cash

prize of Rs. 2,500/-

Performance Improvement Award Per formance Improvement Award is awarded to the students who have shown maximum improvement in their first and second year exams. It is awarded to top 10 students of each section who show maximum improvement in terms of increase in percentage.

All Rounder AwardAll Rounder Award is awarded on the basis of students’ performance in certain areas like academics, behavior, participation in extra – curricular activities and shouldering additional responsibility in the campus. This award is given every year to one student each in BBA and BCA (II and III year) course respectively.

Chairman’s Top Ten Award The Chairman’s Award for all round accomplishment is given each year to extraordinary undergraduate students (i.e. top two per course). The deserving students shall be adjudged on the basis of their p e r f o r m a n c e i n a c a d e m i c s a n d extracurricular activities.

The award also takes into consideration the outstanding contribution of student in the form of accolades received by him/ her in internal & external events like sports, cultural events and their participation in social activities.

The weeklong tour consists of University visits, industry visits, guest lectures by industry experts and local sightseeing. The trip is being conducted annually since 2011. In the recent past our students have visited to developed Asian countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai and Thailand and also visited SAARC countries such as Bhutan. Top 10% of the students based on their University results, are sponsored by the institute for a foreign trip at a 50% concessional rate.

In order to facilitate a smooth transition of students from school to college we organize a week long orientation programme before the commencement of semester. Various activities like interactive learning sessions, management games, CEO talk sessions etc are conducted during this programme. All these events help in familiarizing the student with the campus. The students are also introduced to various infrastructure, academic facilities and plethora of opportunities being given by the Institute. The college also organizes Re Orientation Programme, with an objective to assist the students to find their feet again and answer their queries in relation to placements, higher education, industry exposure and many more vital areas leading to their overall development.

MENTORINGThe faculty at I.T.S assumes the role of a mentor to help the students as their friend, philosopher and guide. Our students have regular counseling sessions with the faculty so that they can excel inside and outside the class. The faculty members link with their students, to help solve their problems in the most effective manner possible. This practice ensures holistic development of the students.

Disha CSR Initiative: Education to the underprivileged children of the society. As rightly said “Education is the most powerful weapon, which you can use to change the world”, Disha aims to educate and motivate children to realize their full potential.

The Institute seeks to orient its students to the needs of the development sector and in their role as active contributors to society, encourages them to work relentlessly to upgrade and offer services to the underprivileged sections of the society. SELECTION PROCEDUREThe students are screened on the basis of marks obtained in class XII and X. Students, who meet the set criteria as per the University norms, need to appear for an interview. The interview process is exploratory in nature. The interview panel seeks out strengths of each candidate and examines the suitability of the prospective candidate to the course. In addition, the students have to meet the criteria for merit list of C.C.S University.
