A curse can come in many forms.Not always does it require amaniacal practitioner of the Dark Arts, huddled over their arcane tools,muttering spells into the night. Often, what we might feel to be a cursecan originate with something decidedly more mundane: a whisperedrumor or a malicious thought. eft unchecked, this harmful energy canaffect us adversely, be it in our private or professional lives. !egardless ofits origin, we can respond magickally to this threat.

" believe that it should go without saying that prior to working this spellyou should attempt whatever #mundane# actions are appropriate for yoursituation. $agick is part of real%life, not a substitute for it.

&his spell can be performed either by the person who is the target of acurse or, in the event that they don't feel up to it, then by someone actingas a priest(ess. &he duty of the priest(ess in these cases would be to actas an energetic guide for the practitioner, mediating the )od(dess powerinto their presence.

"deally, this should be performed seven nights prior to the Dark $oon*+heck your calendar. &his is to combine the power of decrease,governed by the waning moon, with the mystic significance of the numberseven. -owever, necessity is the largest concern here. Adapt, as youdeem necessary.

egin by taking a ritual bath. /erform a personal cleansing rite and thenfinish, toweling off and then going skyclad to your prepared ritual area.

Allow yourself to become calm and centered. /erform a groundinge0ercise. Open up to your -oly Daemon *-igher 1elf, Deep 1elf, etc..2eel "t move through you, guiding your actions. &ake a small handful ofsea salt and hold it in your power%hand. 3now that salt is a purifier. Allowthe power of -oly Daemon to flow into the salt, charging it with purpose./our it into one of the small bowls of water and mi0 it together. 2eel thewater glow with the intent to purify.

&ake the rosemary sprig and inhale its scent. 2eel its leaves in your handsand on your face. 4alking in a circle counter clock%wise, dip the rosemary

into the saltwater and begin to asperge *sprinkle the area, imagining themi0ture melting away any adverse energies that may be around, leavingthe area clean, pure, and fresh. 4hile you do this, continually chant:

5nd by sprinkling some on yourself, feeling your fears and stresses flowout from you, leaving you fresh and pure. 1ay:

urn the sage and allow its smoke to waft over you. Again, open yourselfup to your -oly Daemon, and again walk the circle, only now doing soclock%wise, bringing it alive with the smoke's potency and motion. Again,chant continually:

&he circle having been completed, #wash# some of the smoke over yourhead and behind you and feel the potent charge of your Daemon. 1ay:

reathe three deep breaths of power. 2eel the harmony of your Daemonflowing into your fetch, and into your talking self. 2eel the layers of yourconsciousness. 2eel your triple power flowing into the area around you,forming a protective and sanctifying circle. etween each breath say:

/lace the amethyst ne0t to the candles. 7ou may also wish to include apiece of 6ewelry, or other item that you wish to charge as a magickallyprotective amulet. 1prinkle salt in a ring around them. 2eel them beingencased. 1ay:

2eel your power flow through you as you light the candles with thesolemn *and certain intent to defeat the curse. 1ay:

&ake three deep breaths of power and tear the cord from yourhand(wrists. -ear the searing power of the curse hiss and pop. &angle thethread up and 4ill it to be bound and banished. 2eel your power ofcontrol. /lace the thread in with the egg and other contents, then spit intoit. &ake up the 1tar )od(dess and lue)od candles, still burning, andallow some of the black and then blue wa0 to drip onto the thread andthe egg, speaking aloud their names as you do. 2eel it #sealing# the darkpower into these ob6ects. 1ay:

!eturn the candles to their places and then bundle up the contents in thecloth, putting it aside. &his will be dealt with later. /ick up the amethyst./lace it into the cup or bowl of fresh water. -old the cup at heart leveland again be aware of your -oly Daemon. Ask to be finally cleansed ofeverything that has gone on before. 2eel the purifying power of yourDaemon flow through you and into the cup, charging it with power, mi0ing

with the power and presence of the amethyst charged water. 4hen thewater is brilliantly shining with the power, drink with the blessing:

Anoint yourself with the saltwater on your forehead, lips, hands, heart,belly, genitals, and feet. 4ith each anointing, affirm the blessing:

Dress, and carrying both the bundle and the amethyst *and any 6ewelryor ob6ects that you charged in the salt circle, go outside with the intentto either bury the bundle in the ground *not on your own property or totoss it into a moving body of water. "f you choose the water method, then yousee the energy being carried far away by the water until it is transformedby the ultimate cleansing powers of )randmother Ocean. 7ou may wish tosay a short prayer such as:
