PLUMB, Christopher (Chris) Paul Manager – Industrial & Resources Construction McMahon Services Australia Pty Ltd Chris is a highly experienced Project Director with 25+ year’s industry experience. Chris has been instrumental in establishing the Industrial & Resources Construction division over the past 18 months, a new growth area for McMahon’s. Areas of expertise include; Engineering, Construction Management, Client Relations, Indigenous Participation, Project Management, Budget / Program Management and Design / Compliance. Serving as a CCF Board Member for the last 3 years, has been extremely rewarding knowing you are contributing to making a change for the benefit of the CCF and all Members. Being in the Industry for 25+ years, Chris has a lot to offer and give back to our Members and stakeholders. With the ever growing economic pressure on our sector, as a Board Member Chris is committed to being accountable to the long term viability of the CCF, its long term strategic plan and ensuring advocacy in representing the CCF and all Members. PALUSZEK, Ted Managing Director, Paluszek Enterprises Pty Ltd Ted has over 40 years of construction experience in the broad fields of civil engineering and building works. Ted is currently Managing Director of Paluszek Enterprises Pty Ltd; and part owner and Director of QMSCS Pty Ltd. A civil engineer by profession, Ted is a Fellow Engineers Australia, Fellow Australian Institute of Building & Register Lead Quality Auditor. Currently Ted represents the CCF as Chairman of the CIF and Chief Judge of the Earth Awards. As a current Board Member of CCF SA, Ted has held this position for a number of years. Ted is also in a position of constantly being in touch with a large number of Members through his auditing and management services; through which he can then raise any issues that need to be addressed - particularly for our small contractors in regional areas. Please turn over TUCKER (nee Renfrey), Jessica Business Manager, Renfrey Plant Hire Services As a proud South Australian Jessica would like to continue to contribute to the civil industry, especially given the current economic climate in South Australia. Her family business, Renfrey Plant Hire Services was established in 1974 and has been involved with the Federation for over 30 years. Jessica’s current position in the business is Business Manager. In this role, Jessica oversees administration, human resources, risk management, systems, compliance and general business. Jessica was nominated a CCF Board Member in 2012 and has participated in the CCF through various sub-committees and previously been the CCF nominated deputy for the CITB Board. MATTIAZZO, Steve Human Resources Manager, York Civil Pty Ltd Steve has nominated himself to potentially become a Board Member of the CCF. Steve is currently the Human Resources Manager at York Civil and has held this position for the last 7 years including its growth over the last 5 years in becoming a national company. The skills, qualifications and experience that Steve can bring to the Board are more than 30 years’ experience in managing people and managing human resources. Steve is also currently involved in the Torrens to Torrens (T2T) Project as the People and Capability Manager and on the Alliance Management team. Steve’s role includes managing the SA Industry Participation and the Workforce Participation programs that are scrutinised by the SA Government. Steve’s experience here will be valuable to the CCF especially with the current strategies in the areas of SA industry procurement and workforce development for the future of the North South corridor. HATCHER, Charles Contracts Manager, T & J Constructions Pty Ltd Like it or not our Industry is changing. We need to work with Government to maximise our opportunities – even in the current economy there is enough Local, State and Federal funding for a sustainable Civil Industry here in SA. Right now the overly cautious Government Departments have become risk managers rather than project managers and prefer to let big tenders to multinationals. This limits opportunities for mid-tier SA Contractors who would otherwise be able to tender on the smaller packages of work. REYNOLDS, Christopher (Chris) Managing Director, CREST Constructions Chris has been with a Member company for over 27 years and on the Board for the last 13 years: 4 years as Vice President, 5 years

as President and 7 years as National Alternant. Chris is an Associate member of Engineers Australia (AMIE Aust ) and a Graduate

member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. (GAICD). Chris is also a Board Director of Dial Before You Dig SA / NT

( DBYD ) since 2012.

Strategic Infrastructure in Metropolitan and Regional areas provides a fourfold productivity gain to our LOCAL economy and even

more if LOCAL contractors are engaged. The challenge ahead is to maintain a strong local economy and to encourage infrastruc-

ture packages that are customized to suit the majority of our members: small to medium civil contracting businesses.

ALLEN, John Special Projects Director, CATCON In the civil engineering industry for 27 years, John is Director for Special Projects with CATCON, a well-known and established Tier 2, SA civil construction company. John specialises in the large-scale renewable industry; overseeing projects across SA and Australia.

A CCFSA Board Member 2006-2013, John is proud of being an active Member of the Project Steering Committee, responsible for obtaining the Federal funding and refurbishing of CCF House.

As a founding Member of the successful Media Committee, our aim was to increase public awareness of our local industry and CCFSA. We achieved positive coverage across local and national media.

Also a founding Member of the CCF SA / DTEI / SA Water Consultative group; John aimed to strengthen State Government relationships, and gain Members smaller project packages.

John is a passionate advocate of well-timed, realistically-packaged construction projects to suit SA's civil construction industry. John sees this as his main focus, if elected to the Board.

REYNOLDS, Christopher (Chris) Managing Director, CREST Constructions Strong advocate for State and National issues for over 27 years and on the Board for the last 13 years : 4 years as Vice President,

5 years as President and 7 years as National Alternant. Chris is also a Board Director of Dial Before You Dig SA / NT ( DBYD )

since 2012 and currently holds the executive position of Vice-Chair and National Alternant Board Director.

Chris continues to take pride in representing all the Associate Members: CCF SA , CCF NT, MBA SA, MBA NT, HIA, PIA while on the

DBYD Board.

Support Chris to continue with the improved performance and success of the Federation on a National Level; experience is needed

particularly with federal advocacy, national policy and harmonisation development, and strategic communication profile. We are half

way through a new CCF National restructure model which in August has already achieved a new National CEO commencing in our

BELTRAME, Gerard Director, Beltrame Civil Pty Ltd Gerard is a third generation South Australian civil construction contractor and a Director of Beltrame Civil, who has held continuous

CCF membership since 1967. Gerard feels that he is best characterised by his tireless work ethic, his relentless pursuit of quality

construction and his commitment to see the civil construction industry grow and thrive in South Australia.

In 2013, Gerard was elected the SA Branch President; a role which he is honoured to hold and which has allowed him to

demonstrate his leadership on issues such as local contractor participation, funding for industry training and the broad conversation

around sustainability and profitability of civil construction in South Australia.

As the standing CCF SA Branch President Gerard feels it is critical that South Australian contractors be represented at the CCF National

Board by a strong local advocate that eats, sleeps and breaths civil contracting. If elected to the role of Alternate Nationa l Board Member
