  • To all the Pak Mei Kung Fu family:In order to solidify and keep strong our art, we must know where it came from and transmit it accordingly. Of course there will be slight differences from one CLC lineage to another, but we have to at least agree on the history and basic techniques. If you are learning or teaching you MUST know the following history:Master Cheung Lai Chuens Pak Mei Kung Fu consists of 4 styles, the first 3 were locally famous in HuiYang, CLCs hometown:1) Lau Man Ga style by famous physician/kung fu master Lam Sek.2) Lei Ga Kuen style by famous kung fu master Lei Mung.3) Long Ying Kuen style by famous master Lam Ah Hop and master Lam Yuen.4) Pak Mei Pai also known as Ngo Mei Siu Lam Pai by Master Juk Faat Wan, the master of Monk Lin Sang whom was feared by local Manchurians due to his fighting skill. This is what caught CLCs eye. Through perseverance he was eventually able to become a student and successor.*All three prior styles of CLC were kept and modified with Pak Mei body structure so that the four energies could be applied (Fau, chum, tun, tou), making it more useful. He also did this in remembrance of his founding masters that made him as good as he was, NOT due to filling in the gaps of incompetencies of a so called Full Pak Mei System. The four original forms are: Jik Bo, Gau Bo Tui, Sup Baat Mor Kiu & Maang Fu Chuet Lam.Every form introduces a new blocking technique, striking technique, horse walking pattern, direction and or kicking technique. Only the most practical moves were transmitted which makes the art deadly.Lineage: Abbot Tung Sin Sim Si of Shaolin 36 Shaolinmonks (five which escaped the burning of Shaolin, Pak Mei being one of them) Gwong Wai Juk Faat Wan Cheung Lai Chuen Ng Yiu (As well as many others like Lee Sai Keung etc.)* Many of these 5th Generation students helped teach and raise CLCs sons, yet the sons have slightly their own interpretations which became additional lineages as they taught. As mentioned earlier, there will be slight differences through time and people, but for the most part similar.Copy and paste my words and lock it in the brains of all your students.
