Institutional Activities

The Institute conducted a special lecture on

'Personal Financial & Investment Planning' onth

17 Aug, 2015 for teaching & non teaching staff

of the Institute. Ms. Namrata Arora, Director,

Knowise Learning Academy India Pvt. Ltd.,

Bangalore guided the staff. The lecture was

sponsored by H.D.F.C. Bank under the

investor's education program.

th The Institute observed 20 Aug, 2015 as

'Sadbhavana Diwas' . The idea behind

observance of 'Sadbhavana Diwas' was to

abstain from violence and to promote goodwill

among the people across the nation.

'Sadbhavana Day Pledge' was taken by all

employees and students.

The Institute has started a Autonomous Diplomath in Hospital Administration on 25 Sept, 2015.

The duration of the course is 1 year and is

conducted twice in a week (Fri. & Sat). Doctors

and Administration staffs of reputed hospitals

are participants of this course.

Dr. S. B. Kolte & Dr. M. B. Mehta attended and

participated in ‘Stakeholders workshop for

discussion on AICTE approval Process 2016-17’th

organized by AICTE on 5 Oct, 2015 at Mumbai.

A meeting on Tourism Development in

Ahmednagar district was held in the Institute onth 29 Oct, 2015. It was chaired by District Collector

Hon. Shri Anil Kawde. People from various areas

like industry, business, medical, education

profession, etc., attended the same.

Rashtriya Ekta Diwas i.e. National Unity Dayst

was celebrated on 31 Oct, 2015 for India's unity,

safety and security. It marked the birth

anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

On the occasion of Founder's Day - 22 Jan,

2016 Blood Donation Camp was organized

where 106 blood bags were collected. The Camp

was organized for the benefit of Thalassemia

patients.

Annual Day and Alumni Meet was organised onth 12 March 2016. Alumni Mr. Sanjeev Kumar,

Director and CIO - Apon India Pune was the

Chief Guest. More than 255 alumni participated

in the meet with enthusiasm and nostalgic

memories. Some alumnus participated in the

cultural activities. The Alumni interacted

with the present batch students and shared

their experiences. IMS - Student’s Magazine

Management Games were held on 14 & 15

Sept, 2015. The event was named as 'Galaxy -

Infinity & Beyond'. The objective behind

conducting this event was to develop students’

Managerial Skills and provide a platform for the

students to showcase their talent. Students

participated in various competitions like

Sponsorship, Brand wagon, Ad Mad show, Mock

stock, Team building & Best manager. Team

'Neptune Knights' won overall Championship &

team 'Massive Mars' was the Runner up of the

event. Mr. Prem Kulsrestha (MBA-II) won the

A Guest Lecture on the Topic ‘Cancer Awareness

and Life Style Diseases’ was organised by

‘HEALTH SERVE’ Ahmednagar Br. on 14th Jan,

2016 for MBA students. Dr. Sunita Shivkumar -

Awareness’. Dr. Bharat Salve - Diabetologist

A guest lecture was organized for MBA students

by Prof. Namdeorao Jadhav on 'Shivaji : The

Management Guru’. 150 students were present

for the same. Management principles that were

used by Shivaji Maharaj and applicable in the

modern day management were discussed.

Seminar on the Topic ‘FOREX’ was organized

by Foreign Exchange Dept. Mumbai Regional

Office, Reserve Bank of India. Mr. Tribhuwan

Singh, Dy. General Manager, Foreign Exchange

session and handled the queries and doubts of

the students. Ms. Jyoti Maheshwari - Manager,

The Parent - Teacher Meet for MBA-I studentsth

was organized on 4 Sept, 2015. Different

groups of parents were formed to discuss

various aspects about the MBA programme.

Ms. Tejaswini Kulkarni conducted a seminar onth 15 Oct, 2015, on Etiquette and Mannerism,

Dining, Telephone and e-mail. Personal

Grooming tips on Formal, Casual and Business

Meetings were also covered . She also discussed

various aspects of Interview techniques.

Workshop on 'Project Report Preparation' wasth

organized on 24 Oct, 2015 for MBA II students.

Mr. Ulhas Bhale - Centre Head, MCED, Nagpur,

conducted the workshop. During first session he

discussed about key terminologies of enterprise

and explained how to prepare preliminary project

report. In second session students prepared

project reports based on industry, service and

business (ISB classification). Students gave

presentations of their project reports.

Students of MPM visited Tata Motors, Pune,th along with faculty members on 26 Oct, 2015.

Manufacturing processes of all types of

vehicles were shown to them.

MBA-II year students went on Industrial visit

cum two days Excursion along with the facultyth members of the Management Department on 30

st Sept, 2015 and 1 Oct, 2015. Total 50 students

and 13 staff members of the Institute went on th this excursion. On 30 Sept, 2015, the faculty

members and students visited the Mapro

Company located at Wai. An over-night stay

was arranged in Mahabaleshwar. The trip was

organized in co-operation with the Purple

Squirrel Eduventures, Mumbai.

Organised an Inter - College Competition forrd undergraduate Students on 23 Jan, 2016. The

Competition was named as 'Aagneyum' having

a punch line - 'Ignite The Excellence In You'.

Eight Competitions namely Quiz, Mock Press,

Face Painting, Collage, Extempore, Ad-Mad

Show, Antakshari and Group Dance were

conducted in the event. The Students studying

at undergraduate level in Arts, Science,

Commerce, Pharmacy and Engineering in

reputed col leges in Ahmednagar and

neighbouring districts participated in the event.

44 Teams and 380 students participated in the

event and showcased their talent. The guest for

prize distribution were - Mr. Rajesh Pewal,

Head HR, Eaton, Ahmednagar. The award

winners of all the competitions were given

certificates, mementos and cash prizes.

to make students aware about various software

testing tools so that they can also get job

On the occasion of IT day (20 Aug,), IT

department organized various competitions for

students of B.A, B.Com, B.Sc , B.C.A, B.C.S,

B.Sc (IT), B.B.A., from Ahmednagar District th on 27 Aug, 2015. More than 500 students

from 21 different Institutes / Colleges throughout

the district participated in the event. The

competitions for Under Graduate students

were Paper Presentation, Quiz Competition,

Online ‘C’ Programming, Aptitude test, Poster

Competition, Gaming and Website Development.

Prof. Uday Nagarkar, HOD-IT Department,

the training on Angular JS. Angular JS is a very

popular Front End Tool and is useful in projects.

was arranged for the students of MCA-III on th 16 Sept, 2015. Mr. Shrikrishna Gatne,

The IMS Library celebrated a reading day on

the auspices of the birth anniversary of

Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam on th

15 Oct, 2015. The IMS Student Library

Committee initiated a Book Review activity for

IMS faculty, staff & students alike. It promoted

learning & encouraged reading habits amongst

users by providing a platform to showcase

comprehending skills of literary works. The

contributed book reviews were displayed on theth th

notice board from 15 - 30 Oct, 2015.

The Lecture Series was organized by the IMS

Student Library Committee to celebrate theth ‘Constitution Day’ on 26 Nov. 2015 by

organizing a lecture on topic ‘Constitution of

India’ for the IMS students, staff and faculty.

Students Library Committee was conducted to

encourage students to submit their artifacts and

articles. The theme was ‘Teacher's Day’ and the

winners were Tanvi Lokhande and Divya Madke

from MCA-III. Under the theme Motivation

Sayali Vaidya, Aarti Shelot, Sunita Chanejam,

Sayyed Nadeem, Khan Saad, Sachdev Vikas,

Kale Sunil, Khoto Neikha from MBA were the

winners.

The winners of ‘Best Practices’ were Ms. Pooja

Deshmukh and Ms. Surabhi Bogawat (MBA-I)

under the ‘Essay Competition’ and Ms. Vaishali

Oza (MPM-II) and Ms. Archana Gaikwad (MCA

III) were winners under ‘Best User’ category.

Mr. Dipak Tungar attended Orientation Training

regarding National Scholarship Portal of Merit

Cum-Means Based Scholarship. The training was

organized by Directorate of Technical Education, thMumbai on 20 Aug, 2015 at Government

Skill Enhancement and Entrepreneurship

Development Centre (SEEDC) Activities

SEEDC organized 3 day Entrepreneurship

Awareness Camp for third year Polytechnic

students of Paulbuddhe Polytechnic College.

The objective of the camp is to make the

students aware about Entrepreneurship as a

career choice, business opportunities, support

system for entrepreneurship.

SEEDC introduced a new course for schoolth th

children of std. 8 and 9 . The name of the

course is ‘Madhyamanche Antarang’. Theth

Inaguration programme was held on 27

Jan, 2016. 52 Children of Ramkrishna

Education Society's Mohan Mandhana School

and their parents attended the programme.

Event Management course was conducted th from 5 Aug, to Nov, 2015. 19 students

rd completed this course. This was the 3 batch of

Event Management.

Placement Cell Activities

The Institute has a Placement Cell, which invites

companies for campus placement every year.

Companies like Thomas Cook, Exide Life Insurance,

Syntel, Amplitude, Chrysallis, Namoh retail,

Takshila School, Optimistic India, Axis Bank,

Panoromic Group visited our campus for Campus

Recrutiment for MBA students in 2015. Two

students were placed in Thomas Cook & nine

students in Exide Life Insurance, IT companies

like Chrysallis, Tansar Solutions, Tej IT, Apps

Planet, Techno Planet, Sears Holdings, Diwanji

Softwares, Techno Planet etc. gave opportunities

to students of MCA 2016 batch and 70 students

were placed through the campus interviews .

Research Centre Activities

Ten students from Management and I.T. courses

of the Institute participated in the regional level

‘Avishkar - 2015’ research competition organized

by BCUD, S. P. Pune University, at Ahmednagar th

College, Ahmednagar on 9 Oct, 2015. Students

gave poster presentation based on the research

projects. Total 7 research projects were presented

in the ‘Avishkar’ competition. Expert panel

member of BCUD appreciated the efforts taken by

Research Journal titled ‘Indian Journal of

Eighth volume of ‘Prayas’ comprising of nine

Vidyarthini Manch activities

Vidyarthini Manch of the Institute organized

a guest lecture by Sub-Inspector Ms. Jayashreeth Kale on 8 Sept, 2015. Girl students, teaching

and non-teaching staff attended the lecture. She

guided and motivated students to become bold

and take charge of their lives. She also advised

students about correct behaviour, preventive

measures for crimes and self-defense.

Eminent doctors from Ahmednagar city wereth

invited on 7 Oct, 2015 to speak to the lady

students of IMS. The guest speakers were

Dr. Shama Mantri, Dr. Suchit Tamboli &

Dr. Shankar Shelke. They spoke on women's

health, diet and created awareness among

students about preventive measures and care to

be taken to avoid deformities in children in
