This acti9n in~olved ~ proposal by Southern Cc:filifornia Ed'i~.on Comp~ny to close this prfvate ro~d and prohibi't -public access~ Staff opposed t;:he closure and has arranged for Southern California Edison Company to leave the portion of tb• road which abuts the State's parcel open for public use.

Staff also believes that the parcel of land Leing acquired from Eotithern California Edison Coi,1pany should be .~ccepted as Sovereign J.and subject to the public trust in order to be compat·able with the .:.d,sting State ownership in this area.
