"Who is wise? He that learns from everyone. Who is powerful? He that

governs his passions. Who is rich? He who is content. Who is that? Nobody."

“Having Billy Futter <GVF member> as part of our discussion was one of my finest experiences. Being exposed to professors who

have worked all over the world is one of the best chances to update your knowledge. The way he participated in every discussion, by

throwing light on the global aspects of the pharmaceutical world was amazing. He commented on every post by presenting his point of view and asking us questions. Through these discussions we saw different aspects of present issues . . and issues of the past too. I

never though an online class would be so interesting.”

-- Sana Mirza, Pharmaceutical Mgmt Student

Using Weblogs to Prepare Active World CitizensCourse: Globalization and World Citizenship

J. Michael Adams & Angelo Carfagna

“I wanted to present the importance of the notion that to be human is to care, that to care is to take action, and that every little bit counts. Although this

blog was set up as a requirement for a political science class (Globalization & World Citizenship), I hope that it will be the start of a fruitful journey to

exploring the issue of global hunger.”- Daniel Suh, Student
