DESCRIPTION
Music production, performance, songwriting and music business students will all be housed in one location,This will result in the creation of specialist teaching facilities in the new building, Barclay House. This is especially beneficial for production students, who will have access to state of the art production facilities including a live room, two control rooms, a post production studio, two mixing suites and four mac rooms, all on one floor. The three floors below production will house the music performance, songwriting and music business students, allowing for easy collaboration all within the one building. In total Barclay House will be home to over 1000 music students. Such collaboration is important, creating a living music environment, something that most competitive production courses cannot offer, which is ideal for a career as a producer, live sound technician, sound engineer, programmer and sound designer.

Student interaction
Student interaction is important, and pr
oduction students, songwriters
, performance
students and business students
are encouraged to network fro
m week 1 of the course.
Tech Records is a great example of such netw
orking, with students all workin
g together
to produce, release and promote an EP of ori
ginal material. The Tech Records EP2
is
enclosed, hope you enjoy.
The new TMS building in Fulham from September 2013 is an
ideal setting for enhancing
such interaction even further, w
ith all students housed under o
ne roof, a hub of music
related activity.
Production Tutors
Life At TMS
Life at TMS is lively and varied
, amongst the many activities ta
king place are
masterclasses from established
artists, numerous live events a
nd gigs, and artist
development through TMS cont
acts and expertise, all designe
d to set you up for a
career as a music producer. Pro
duction related masterclasses i
n 2013 include
John Moores an Apple Logic Tra
iner Mentor and and also Tim E
xile (or Exile), the
recording alias of Tim Shaw, a
producer and performer of elect
ronic music spanning
drum and bass, IDM, breakcore
and grabber. Another recent m
asterclass booking is
BRIT nominee and muti time pla
tinum selling producer, songwr
iter and remixer,
Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, One
Direction, Wiley, Paloma Faith).
Furthermore, good educational
links within the music industry
aim to enhance the
student experience further, for
example TMS students recently
visited the iconic
Abbey Road studios to see Nile
Rodgers perform to a select au
dience.

All TMS production tutors are experts
in their particular field
and importantly are current working m
usicians and producers.

The names of artists, projects, labels a
nd brands that the rest
of the production faculty have w
orked with reads like a literal w

with ELO, Squeeze, AC/DC, Ro

and many more. Richard Lightman (tutor) has w
orked on films including
American Werewolf in London, Superman and Flash G
