  • SECTION IINTRODUCTION

    1-1. ScopeThis manual lists repair parts and special toolsrequired for the performance of direct support,general support, and depot maintenance of theTA-264/PT and TP-9. The PCCN for the TA-264/PT isGCAAW and the TP-9 is GCWAAX.

    1-2 GeneralThis repair parts and special tools list is divided intothe following sections:

    a. Repair Parts List - Section II. A list of repairparts authorized for the performance of mainte-nance at the direct support, general support, anddepot level. This repair parts list is arranged inalphabetical order.

    b. Spec ia l Too ls , Test a n d S u p p o r tEquipment - Section III. Not applicable.

    c. Index - Federal Stock Number and ReferenceNumber Cross-reference to Figure and ItemNumber - Section IV. A list, in ascending numericalsequence, of all Federal stock numbers appearing inthe listing followed by a list in alphanumericsequence, of all reference numbers appearing in thelistings. Federal stock number and reference num-bers are cross-referenced to each illustration figureand item number or reference designation appear-ance.

    1-3. Explanation of ColumnsThe following provides an explanation of columnsfound in the tabular list.

    a. Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability (Codes(SMR).

    (1) Source code. Indicates the manner of acquir-ing support items for maintenance, repair, oroverhaul of end items. Source codes are

    PA Item procured and stocked for anticipated orknown usage.

    PB Item procured and stocked for insurancepurposes because essentiality dictatesthat a minimum quantity be available inthe supply systems.

    PC Item procured and stocked and whichotherwise would be coded PA except thatit is deteriorative in nature.

    PD Support item, excluding support equipment,procured for initial issue or outfitting andstocked only for subsequent or additional

    initial issues or outfittings. Not subject toautomatic replenishment.

    PE Support equipment procured and stocked forinitial issue or outfitting to specified main-tenance repair activities

    PF Support equipment which will not be stockedbut which will be centrally procured ondemand.

    PG Item procured and stocked to provide forsustained support for the life of theequipment. It is applied to an itempeculiar to the equipment which becauseof probable discontinuance or shutdown ofproduction facilities would prove un-economical to reproduce at a later time.

    KD An item of depot overhaulrepair kit and notpurchased separately. Depot kit definedas a kit that provides items required at thetime of overhaul or repair.

    KF An item of a maintenance kit and notpurchased separately. Maintenance kitdefined as a kit that provides an item thatcan be replaced at organizational or directsupport or general support levels ofmaintenance.

    KB Item included in both a depot over-haul/repair kit and a maintenance kit.

    MO Item to be manufactured or fabricated atorganizational level.

    MF Item to be manufactured or fabricated atdirect support maintenance level.

    MH Item to be manufactured or fabricated atgeneral support maintenance level.

    MD Item to be manufactured or fabricated atdepot maintenance level.

    AO Item to be assembled at organizational level.AF Item to be assembled at direct support

    maintenance level.AH Item to be assembled at general support

    maintenance level.AD Item to be assembled at depot maintenance

    level.X A Item is not procured or stocked because the

    requirements for the item will result inthe replacement of the next higher as-sembly.

    XB Item is not procured or stocked. If notavailable through salvage, requisition.

    XC Installation drawing, diagram instructionsheet, field service drawing, that is iden-tified by manufacturers part number.

    XD Support items can be requisitioned withjustification.

    NOTECannibalization or salvage may beused as a source of supply for anyitems source coded above exceptthose coded XA and aircraft supportitems as restricted by AR 700-42.

    (2) Maintenance code. Maintenance codes areassigned to indicate the levels of maintenanceauthorized to USE and REPAIR support items. Themaintenance codes are entered in the third andfourth positions of the Uniform SMR Code Format asfollows:

    (a) Use (third position). The maintenance codeentered in the third position indicates the lowestmaintenance level authorized to remove, replace,and use the support item. The maintenance codeentered in the third position indicates one of thefollowing levels of maintenance.

    NOTEA code C may be used in thisposition to denote crew or operatormaintenance performed within or-ganizational maintenance.

    Support item is removed, replaced, used atthe direct support maintenance level.

    Support item is removed, replaced, used atthe general support maintenance.

    Support items that are removed, replaced,used at depot only.

    (b) Repair (fourth position). The maintenancecode entered in the fourth position indicates whetherthe item is to be repaired and identifies the lowestmaintenance level with the capability to performcomplete repair (i.e., all authorized maintenancefunctions). When a maintenance code is not used adash (-) sign is entered. For multi-serviceequipment/systems or when a code is entered, thisposition will contain one of the following mainte-nance codes as assigned by the service(s) that requirethe code:

    The lowest maintenance level capable ofcomplete repair of the support item is thedepot level.

    Repair restricted to designated SpecializedRepair Activity.

    Non-repairable. No repair is authorized.No repair is authorized. The item may be

    reconditioned by adjusting, lubricating,etc., at the user level. No parts or specialtools are procured for the maintenance ofthis item.

    (3) Recoverability code. Recoverability codes areassigned to support items to indicate the dispositionaction on unserviceable items. The recoverabilitycode is entered in the fifth position of the uniformSMR Code Format as follows:

    Explanation

    Nonrepairable item. When unserviceable,condemn and dispose at the level indi-cated in the first digit of the maintenancecode.

    Repairable item. When uneconomically re-pairable, condemn and dispose at organi-zational level.

    Repairable item. When uneconomically re-pairable, condemn and dispose at thedirect support level.

    Repairable item. When uneconomically re-pairable, condemn and dispose at thegeneral support level.

    Repairable item. When beyond lower levelrepair capability, return to depot. Con-demnation and disposal not authorizedbelow depot level.

    Repairable item. Repair, condemnation,and disposal not authorized belowdepot/Specialized Repair Activity level.

    Item requires special handling or condemna-tion procedures because of specificreasons (i.e., precious metal content, highdollar value, critical material or hazard-ous material).

    b. Federal Stock Number. Indicates the Federalstock number assigned to the item and will be usedfor requisitioning purposes.

    NOTEFor requisitioning purposes, the Federalstock number must be converted to theNational stock number by adding -00-after the Federal stock classification (FSC)

    code (first four digits). For example FSN6625-553-0142 converts to NSN 6625-00553-0142.

    Description. Indicates the Federal item namea minimum description required to identify the

    item. The last line indicates the reference numberfollowed by the applicable Federal Supply Code forManufacturer (FSCM) in parentheses. The FSCM isused as an element in item identification to designatemanufacturer or distributor or Government agency,etc., and is identified in SB 708-42.

    d. Unit of Measure (U/M). Indicates the standardor basic quantity by which the listed item is used inperforming the actual maintenance function. Thismeasure is expressed by a two-character alphabeti-cal abbreviation; e.g., ea, in, pr, etc., and is the basisused to indicate quantities and allowances insubsequent columns. When the unit of measurediffers from the unit of issue, the lowest unit of issuethat will satisfy the required units of measure will berequisitioned.

    e. Quantity Incorporated in Unit. This columnindicates the quantity of the item used in theequipment. Subsequent appearances of the sameitem in the same assembly are indicated by theletters REF.

    f. 30-Day DS/GS Maintenance Allowances.NOTE

    Allowances in GS column are for GSmaintenance only.

    (1) The repair parts indicated by asterisk entriesin separate allowance columns for DS and GSrepresent those authorized for use at that categoryof maintenance to be requisitioned on an asrequired basis, until stockage is based on demand inaccordance with AR 710-2

    (2) Allowance quantities are indicated in thespecial tool lists section for special tools, TMDE, andother support equipment.

    g. 1-Year Allowances Per 100 Equipments/Contingency Planning Purposes. Column intention-ally left blank.

    h. Depot Maintenance Allowance Per 100 Equip-ments. This column indicates opposite the firstappearance of each item the total quantity au-thorized for depot maintenance of 100 equipments.

    i. Illustration. This column is divided as follows:(1) Figure number. Indicates the figure number

    of the illustration on which the item is shown in TM11-2059.

    (2) Item number. Indicates the item number orreference designation used to reference the item inthe illustration.

    1-5. Location of Repair Partsa. This manual contains one cross-reference index

    (sec IV) to be used to locate a repair part when eitherthe Federal stock number or reference number(manufacturers part number) is known. The firstcolumn in the index is prepared in numerical oralphanumeric sequence in ascending order. Thereference numbers (manufacturers part numbers)are listed immediately following the last listedFederal stock number in the index of Federal stocknumbers.

    b. When the Federal stock number or referencenumber is known, follow the procedures given in (1)and (2) below.

    (1) Refer to the index of Federal stock numbers(sec IV) and locate the Federal stock number orreference number. The FSN and reference numberare cross-referenced to the applicable figure anditem number or reference designation.

    (2) Refer to the repair parts list (sec II) and locatethe figure number (col 10a) and item number orreference designation (col 10b) as noted in the FSNindex.

    c. When the figure and item number or referencedesignation are known, scrutinize columns 10a and10b of the repair parts list (sec II) until the item islocated.

    d. When the FSN, reference number, figurenumber, item number and reference designation arenot known, scrutinize column 3 of the repair parts list(sec II), which is arranged in alphabetical order.
