INTEGRATED SYSTEM
HOW IT WORKS
The conversion of temperature difference into electric current is a well-knownphysical phenomenon, discovered by Thomas J. Seebeck in 1821.
He no�ced the movement of the needle of a magnet when different metals wereconnected and exposed to a temperature gradient; the deflec�on was caused byan induced voltage and resul�ng electric current. Connec�ng the two materialsusing an electrical circuit, direct current flows into it.
To translate this phenomenon into prac�ce Zeus uses several Seebeck Modulesand a dedicated fuel burner.
This technology is used since 1977 by NASA, for its reliability and its long termdura�on. It powers Voyager probe (now in the interstellar space) and Lunar /Mars rovers.
