Title: Verbs and punctuation
Aim: Use correct punctuation in sentences
and written speech.
VERB Action word e.g. kick, running, played
PUNCTUATIONSymbols used to help make sentences more understandable e.g. ! ? .
In today’s lesson you will:
1. Know what punctuation is2. Understand the purpose of using
punctuation in your writing3. Be able to improve your writing by
using refined language and punctuation
Aim: Use correct punctuation in sentences and speech.
Show how much you know about punctuation by rewriting the text using all the punctuation marks from the chart below. Remember to add capital letters where necessary.
nina wants to be a pop star she is only 10 years old but she is already aiming for the stars nina goes to her singing lessons three times a week and also twice a week for dance lessons nina has also entered many singing competitions and has been really successful in winning a few local talent shows ninas friends are very proud of her achievements nina was overjoyed with her last victory and was heard shouting ecstatically i won i won can nina reach any new heights in her singing career
