The concept of ‘parampara’

• Parampara denotes a succession of teachers and disciples in traditional Vedic culture and in Indian religions such as Hinduism, Sikhism, Jainism and Buddhism. The students or disciples may themselves become gurus or teachers to help continue the teachings.
