Education Statistics in BiH• Objective of education statistics is to present data on

condition, structure and development of schools (basic schools, secondary schools and higher education institutions), data on structure of students and teachers, data on results of education and factors that affect the results.

• SOURCE OF DATAAgency for Statistics of BiH aggregates and publishes data collected on the basis of statistical education surveys implemented by entity statistical offices and District Brcko.

Sources and methods of data collection• The data on population and households have been

collected by Census every ten years and by unified methodology on all areas of B&H.

• The latest Census of B&H was taken in 1991.• Number of habitants: Estimation of current population

(30.06.2011.) 3.839.737

• In October 2012 Pilot Census of Population, Households and Dwellings in B&H

• The Census shall be conducted in the period from 1 to 15 April 2013, according to the situation as on 31 March 2013 at 24:00 hours (midnight) defined as the reference date of the Census.

Administrative databases are metodological diferent and we can’t use them as a relevant source of data.

• Administrative system of B&H is very complex and institutional metodologies are not harmonized.
