Please place all carts on the street, next to the curb by 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled collection day. Carts should be placed three feet apart and three feet away from other carts and objects, with the lidopening facing the street. Filled carts must weigh less than 250 pounds and be loosely packed to ensure easy emptying.

Bulky Item CollectionResidents receive up to four (4) free bulky item pick-ups per year, up to four (4) items per pick up. Additional items may be picked up for a fee. Bulky items cannot exceed 300 lbs each. Please contact Waste Management CustomerService at least 24 hours in advance of your regular service day to schedule the pickup. Acceptable items include sofas, chairs, washers, dryers, toilets, etc. Non-acceptable items include tires, batteries, paints, oils, construction debris, chemicals of any kind, Freon, rocks, sand, gravel, dirt, logs, carpet, hazardous or medical waste or items requiring more than two persons to safely handle.

Residents with accounts in good standing are entitled to two FREE visits to the Lancaster Landfill and Recycling Center (600 E. Avenue F) each year. Vouchers are now paperless and are added electronically to each account on July 1. The vouchers are valid for a period of twelve months. To redeem, residents will need to provide identification matching the account holder information at the landfill scale house. Vouchers are good for the disposal of up to one ton of waste. No commercial, industrial or household hazard waste (HHW) will be accepted.

Extra BagsCustomers may place up to 14 bags (max weight 35 lbs each) for collection for an additional fee. Bags will only be collected on your regular service day. Please contact customer service 24 hours in advance to schedule pick-ups.

As summer turns into fall, Waste Management reminds residents to recycle their grass clippings and tree trimmings by placing them in their GRAY green waste cart. If your green waste regularly exceeds the capacity of your green waste cart, you can request an extra cart at no additional cost.

Sharps Home DeliveryNow you can safely dispose of needles, lancets and other sharps from your home. Call customer service for your free container and it will be delivered to your door. Fill up the kit and mail it back using the pre-paid postage label. Each resident is entitled to one free kit per year and two additional kits for a $5 co-pay.

Residents can safely recycle their paint, motor oil, household batteries and compact fluorescent lightbulbs for FREE by dropping them off at the Antelope Valley Environmental Collection Center (AVECC) located at 1200 West City Ranch Road in Palmdale on the first and third Saturday of every month (except holidays), from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. No paint, oil, batteries or CFL bulbs from commercial or industrial sources will be accepted.

Electronic Waste RecyclingResidents can drop off e-waste at the AVECC (1200 W. City Ranch Rd. Palmdale) for free from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the first & third Saturdays (except holidays) of each month. E-waste can also be dropped off at the Lancaster Maintenance Yard (615 W. Ave. H) Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Portable ToiletsClean, spacious, easy to schedule portable toilet rentals are available to residents. From single stalls to trailer-sizes, temporary portable restroom services are available in sizes and configurations for a wide variety of projects. Propane ServicesA variety of propane services are available to residents: on-call or full service, free leasefor first year, new installations, leak testing, 24-hour emergency service. A selection of different sizes are available (250 gallon, 320 gallon, 500 gallon, 1000 gallon). Call (661) 822-6871 for more information or to schedule service.
