Tips on Upcoming 6th graders

Language arts / Accelerated reader

Stay in your seat at all times unless you are told because you might get yelled at.

Be on your best behavior Do what the teachers say You will learn a lot about different thing Make sure you always bring a pencil or pen

Math / Accelerated Math

Math is so much fun if you have a fun teacher like Mrs. Greene

You can learn how to work out math problem so good you could look at the problem and know the answer

Sometimes you can make stuff and figure out the mass of what ever you build like a boat

And make sure to always have a pencil and pen

Social Studies

I kinda like social studies because you learn about all kinds of history

History you never would think about, I think it is interesting to learn about world war 1 and 2

Stay in your seat And maybe when you get in 8th grade you get to

go to Tryon Palace Make sure you have a pencil or pen

Science

Science can be really cool because you get to do a lot of project

Learning science thing you would never learn works

It is always fun doing different projects Have a pencil or pen or something to write with

Lunch

Sit with only your class mates Sit with your friends in your class Only go in line once if you are getting lunch Stay in your seats Do not be to loud Do not touch other peoples food

Lockers

Get what you need in your locker for your next class

Do not play around because you will get in trouble

Bathrooms

Go to the bathroom Do your business Wash your hands before leaving And then when you are done go back to you

class Do NOT play around in or out of the bathrooms

Exploratories

My favorite exploratory is dance and gym Other are computers Math class Fast forward And more..........

Clubs

There is..... Drama club Yearbook Quiz bowl And more...........

Sports

Sports are fun and physical

Football Soccer La-cross Baseball Basketball Track Softball

Cheerleader Wrestling Golf

Busses

Get on the bus Sit and talk quietly to your friends Do not throw anything Stay seated so you do not cause a wreck

Field Trips

You do not really go on a lot of field trips So I do not really have anything to say

My favorite memory of HJ was......

8th grade semi formal dancing around and hanging out with all my friends

Being in class and getting free time And hanging out with my boyfriend And just being around with all my friends

Favorite teachers were

Mrs. Collins Mrs. Fiedler And most defiantly...... Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Greene

Final advice it......

Be good and listen to the teachers and always have a pencil and or a pen. So have fun make

friends and have a good year at HJM
