Liking how you look is a big deal.

Self-esteem is how you feel about yourself.

Always try and have a high self-esteem.When you think something bad aboutyourself, STOP! Instead think about thethings you do like about yourself.

Do things you would like to, notwhat others want you to do.

Give yourself the chance to dowell, try out for the school play, put your hand up in class. But, understand you areallowed to fail. If you do getsomething wrong, dont getinto a sports team,Its okay.

If you ever get bullied aboutwhat you are like, personalityor appearance, understand thatthey are most likely jealous ofyou.

If you do get bullied, tell someone beforeit gets outof hand.

AppearanceMore things to look out for.Do the people you hang about with make you feelbad about yourself?Do they control the friendship you have or seembossy?Do they want you to do things you dont

want to?Do they mess about during lessons?Do they ever call you names or embarrassyou?Do these people want you to spendtime with them instead of yourfamily?

If you have answered thesequestions with Yes thenthe friendship you have withthese people may be bad for you.Its best if you stay awayfrom these people andpeople like them.

NEVER EVER:be pressured into doinganything you dont want to.Friends should take howyou feel into account.Youre not a fool for saying no.Do what you think is

    best, not them.

Eating is very important. It changes our insidesand outsides.

Teens need roughly 2,000 calories a day.

Try not to skip breakfast, it reallyis the most important meal of the day.Dont skip any other meals either, theyre all important.

Avoid emotional eating -eatingbecause you are bored, stressed, or feeling down.Tell someone how youre feelinginstead.

Try to eat a balanced diet.Although chocolate looksmuch yummier than anapple, you need yourfruit and vegetablesas well. You actually need5 of them a day!

Have a sweetie daywhich you can onlyhave sweets andchocolate onthat day.

Youll hear this from your teachers/parents all the

    time, but its true.

    School is really important.

Always do the best you can. Alwaysconcentrate in lessons. It helps, trust me.

Trying your best. You have to do the best you can in school.Especially secondary school. No matter what people say in thefirst few years.try your hardest, push yourself to reach targets, get good grades, go to thestudy clubs, listen in yourclasses, get help if you need it.All these will help in your final

school years with exams. They really will.

If you dont understandsomething, tell theteacher, even if yourethe only one who puts their handup, someone else will be sittingthere wondering about it too.

Always do your homework as well! Get into the

routine of sitting down at night and looking atyour homework plannerand doing it, because itwill make your life less stressfuland you will find that youllhave more time to do morefun activities! -Kate Harper

    Some tips on getting a good nights sleep;

Before you go to bed, have a relaxingbath. Its easier to fall asleep whilstrelaxed.Dont have a lot of food beforebed, it makes it harder to sleep.Have something light and simple, like a glass of milk.

Make your room as dark andcomfortable as possible.Try studying and doinghomework earlier on inthe evenings rather thanjust before bed.

Yes. Smoking causes all of those things, and more.

Most people will try hide they smoke fromfamily and friends by spraying body spraysand chewing gum. This wont get rid of thesmell.

Not only does it damage your insidesand your looks, it damages your life.If you play a sport, dance, singor play an instrument you willnot be able to do any of thesethings well if you start smoking.
