What Is D.O.I Format?The definition is a Digital Operated Identifier.The objective is to learn how to apply D.O.I. to your digital multimedia cited journal articles.The purpose is to allow others to locate and retrieve digital media sources you have cited.

Tip One: Where To Identify The D.O.I. From A Multimedia Journal Article?D.O.I.s are placed on the top right hand corner of the article online or in print.D.O.I.s have a prefix number, followed by a 4 digit number, a slash, and a 10 digit number.

Common Journal Article Providers with D.O.I. Format are:a. In PsycINFOR record, EBSCO host, APA PsycNET, CSA Illumina, OCLC FirstSearch, and ovidSP

When Locating And Citing A D.O.I. Journal Article Follow These Guidelines:In general, include the same elements, in the same order, as you would for a reference to a fixed Journal Article, then add a D.O.I. or URL. Make sure you have the most resent version.Then, Type or copy-paste the articles D.O.I. at the end of your journal reference.If D.O.I. is not given for your journal article use the URL address.
