    Identify the CLUE/TRIGGER

    Come up with your own word for the blank (asimple word)

    Use POE(any answer choice that doesnt match

    your word should be eliminated)

    Pay attention to the TONE of the sentence. Remember if you dont know the word, dont

    waste time, guess an answer and move on

    Read the questions first so that you can decide

    which type of reading you can use effectively

    Make a note of the questions on scratch paper

    Answer the questions as and when you comeacross the info. (this will save a lot of time)

    Reading the first and last sentence will give you

    a fair idea of the paragraph, skim/scan the infoin between the first and last sentence
