TINConnect - Abilities News A regular update on our arts and culture programmes for
people with a learning disability across County Durham.
Please share this email with colleagues who you feel may be
interested in our programmes.
GeTIN2Dance An exciting course for people with learning disabilities
GeTIN2dance concentrates on dance as an artform and explores
how to use dance to keep fit, be expressive and perform for your
peers.
Each day will consist of:
A fun enjoyable movement warm-up
Opportunities to move and dance to different music
Creative activities to help you to create your own dance
movement and to move with others Time to rehearse new work created ready for performances!
The course is based at Belmont Parish Hall, Durham and takes place on Tuesdays from 9.30am to 3.30pm. It runs for 36 weeks a year.
There is currently one space available - CALL NOW!
GeTIN2Arts An exciting course for people with a learning disability.
GeTIN2arts is a mixed arts course encouraging people to find their
own performance talent and support their development. This means
that whilst on the course you will do dance, drama and music.
The course is based at Framwellgate Moor Community Centre,
Durham and takes place on Thursdays from 9.30am - 3.30pm. The course runs for 36 weeks a year.
We are currently recruiting for September 2011. Watch out
for our open days in Spring 2011.
Last chance to join the Apprentices Work with The Flex Dance Co and learn new skills
The Flex Apprenticeship Programme is designed for people with a
learning disability who wish to further their interest in dance and
would like to do so as part of a touring dance company.
Benefits of the programme include:
Regular dance class and creative sessions
Opportunities to see more dance Opportunities to travel nationally and perform
The programme runs for 2 years (36 weeks a year).
There are 5 spaces available for new joiners - CALL NOW!
