The Great Pyramid of Giza • Known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops. • The oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza
Necropolis. • The Great Pyramid consists of an estimated 2.3 million
limestone blocks with most believed to have been transported from nearby quarries.
The Colossus of Rhodes • Was a statue of the Greek Titan Helios, erected
in the city of Rhodes on the Greek island of Rhodes by Chares of Lindos between 292 and 280 BC.
• Describe the structure as being built with iron tie bars to which brass plates were fixed to form the skin.
