RESEARCH INTERESTS
I study the process of lateral hiring to better understand (1) the routines by which recruiting organizations discover, value, create, and utilize human capital; and (2) the processes by which managers recognize and respond to the threat of subordinate defection to other firms. I also publish research in the field of strategic human resource management, the study of how organizations manage human capital to gain and maintain a competitive advantage relative to rivals.
