AreaHow do we work out the area of squares and rectangles?
All we do is multiply the length by the width
(times the 2 sides together)
All we do is multiply the base by the height
(times the 2 sides together)
So base x height = 10x10 = 100cm²
So length x width = 8x3= 24cm²
You must remember to put a little 2 next to your units as the answer has
to be squared and that’s how we show squared!
There is also an area task on my maths Choose a task that suits your child don’t worry about print it
