As you make these plans, always looking toward the future, you think “sure, I have plenty of time for that”. But as it is in life, so it is in Rotary: The things we plan do not always go the way we want or expect. Being president is harder than it looks, or maybe the people who are GOOD AT IT make it look easy? So, here we are together, nearing the end of my road and the beginning of another. I now send to you my sincere thanks for joining me on this journey, for your support along the way and even for your criticism of the paths I have chosen. As a club, I feel like we have been successful in our mission to support our communi- ty: Supporting the Wood Angles with the purchase of a much needed hydraulic dump trailer. Supporting the Inter Faith Food Bank with an LED lighting upgrade. Supporting the next gen- eration with things like Interact and RYLA. Soon it will be Dirks turn in the barrel, I mean leading the club. His direction and leadership will be, I’m sure, differ- ent from mine as mine was different from Irene’s. These differences and changes are good as they keep things fresh and new. Your continued support of the club and its president is KEY to the success of the club as a whole. TIME MARCHES ON...

It seems so long ago that I started down this path with you and yet it seems like yesterday too. As the song says, “Time marches on”. As a club, I feel like we have been successful in our mission to support our communi-ty: Supporting the Wood Angles with the purchase of a much needed hydraulic dump trailer. Supporting the Inter Faith Food Bank with an LED lighting upgrade. Supporting the next gen-eration with things like Interact and RYLA.

Soon it will be Dirks turn in the barrel, I mean leading the club. His direction and leadership will be, I’m sure, differ-ent from mine as mine was different from Irene’s. These differences and changes are good as they keep things fresh and new. Your continued support of the club and its president is KEY to the success of the club as a whole. Sincerely, {Soon to be} Past-President Mike

Past President D’arcy and Michelle Porter are on a 90 day leave of ab-sence as they tour France. Within the first week of their vacation, they found a Rotary Plaque in Marsielle, France. Dated 2005, it celebrates the efforts of the local rotary club in the community.

When you travel to the four corners of the world, please take a photo of rotary projects from around the world that you find to share with the club.
