This is important because you may not have enough time to do everything you want and should therefore make sure the most important tasks are finished 1st.

Creating a Schedule
A schedule is a table or chart that breaks down each day into periods
Such as hours or half hours
Can be made for a single day, a week, or even a greater amount of time.
Sample Schedule6:30 – 7:30 Wake Up & Get Ready
7:30 – 7:45 Ride to School
8:00 – 3:00 School
3:15 – 4:45 Club/Sport Practice
4:45 – 5:30 Go Home, Eat Snack
5:30 – 6:30 Chores, Laundry
6:30 – 7:30 Dinner
7:30 – 9:00 Homework/Study/Read
9:00 Bed

1. How much sleep do you get?
2. How many hours do you spend at school?
3. How long do you spend your time doing extracurricular activities? (clubs, sports)
Compare your schedule to the schedule I give you and answer the same questions as above.

Long-Term Goals
This is what you ultimately want to achieve.
Can take months or even years to complete.
Examples:
Graduate from high school
Graduate from college
Move into my own house/apartment
Buy a car
How Do I Get There?
What do I need to do in order to achieve the long-term goal?
Which of my goals should take priority over other?
How could I best use my time to move myself closer to my long-term goal?
Short-Term Goals
Also known as, “Mini-goals”
These goals represent steps which you can climb to reach your long-term goal
