When JoJo and Mo see

Toby building a new front

porch, JoJo has an idea.

“Can we use your extra

wood and nails?” she

asks. “We want to build a

treehouse.” Toby gives

them the tools they need.

When they get out to the

tree, Mo turns to JoJo. “I’m

afraid of high places,” he

says. “Can we build a time

machine instead?” JoJo

thinks a time machine would

be fun.

The first place JoJo and

Mo travel in their time

machine is back to the

time of the dinosaurs. “I’m

afraid of high places!” Mo

says, so they travel to the

time of the kings and

queens.

JoJo and Mo land in the

tower of a very tall castle.

“This is too high!” Mo

says, so they travel into

the future.

This time, they land on top of a flying car that’s zooming over a big city. “This is much too high!” Mo says, so they travel back home.

As soon as they land,

Mo sees a tall tree. It is

not as tall as a dinosaur

or a castle tower. It’s not

as high as a flying car.

“Let’s build a treehouse,”

Mo says. He and JoJo take

apart the flying machine

and use the wood and nails

to build a treehouse. When

Mo looks down, he feels

safe and proud.
