Here I Stand

here I stand ..naked, humble and afraidaware of my mortalitywhere once I knew life was forevernow I see the inevitability of never

and yet ...with my soul opened afreshI see the glory of humankindaswell as the futilityof wanton greedthe false measureof petty need

here I amno axe to grindat peace within my mindI now understand that giving love is freeyet only receivedif one can but see

You touch my life

I know what it feels liketo feel a warm gentle breezegrazing my skinsunlight nibbling the anxieties from my mindcradling me softly in its golden arms

I’ve been therewhen a tender new born spirit wraps its tendrilsaround proud hearts and eases tearsof incredulous joy across beaming faces

I have breathed deepof pine filled forests, as I gazed on the majesty of meandering snow slopesadorned with plumes of rugged rock

I have rejoiced with the heroes of the houras laughter and prideshone like a slick rain soaked squareas the sun pierces the clouds, justice done karma repaid

I have felt the painof unrequited lovegnawing beast-like as it strips the bark of sanity from the heartinveigling its way into waking dreams

And now I feel a sharp torment of a love spanning worlds burning deeply as if just two doors downpowerless to actlonging to easeyet happy that you touch my life

I need your words tonight

standing in the shadowof lifes past nuances and ambiguitiesI stare into a mayhem of meanderingslike the gulf stream spreading condescensionon an acquiescent earthI, a mere bit player on the sidelines of a soapand I see the tone of your beingfeel the touch of your tantalising fingersas your warmth engulfs meenhances my mindand takes me to my craved Valhallaas I cry into a wind of woe

I need your words tonight

Love

eloquent eulogies pass through my mindconjuring up paintings of elegant timesspontaneous diversions swagger bycatching the glint of an innocent eye

the delicate scent of devotion lays claim as a warm breeze unwinds its affectiondissenting blooms spring here and there playing softly and without a care

separate filaments of reflections uniteweaving a tapestry of love and lightbenevolent foibles transform to pleasuresetching happiness in ample measures

responses feedback enhancing the blisslife is shimmering just like that first kiss

Escaping the Cave

the breeze of lovewhistled into my lifechill that warmed my soullike a torrent of flowing waterrefreshing , massaginginflaming my beingstunning me like a las vegas quake

and hiding in my cavewas not an option

if I call for an angelI find you therewhen I cry myself to sleepyour fingers runthrough my hairwhen I catch a mistaken glimpseor hear your familiar laughterin a crowded room

I know I amand bathe in happiness

Perfect Circle

the beauty of a snowflakethe charm of a snowmana pool of water

Christmas

Christmas calls my name moon shine grips my heartand my hands turn to ice
